Silver is used in EV batteries to make lightweight and strong electrical connections with other components. Most electric cars use 25–50 grams of silver, while hybrid vehicles use 18–34 grams.
Silver is used in power windows, seats and other electrical contacts. Silver is also used in high-performance electrical switches. Some high-power connectors use silver, making the electrical connection strong and durable.
Silver membrane switches are used to start the vehicle's engine, open power windows, adjust power seats, close the power trunk, and other important safety features.
