Honda ZR-V Hybrid Variants
In Japan the ZRV Hybris is offered in two main variants, the X Base and Z Top. The Z Top also gets 2 special edition variants – the Z Black Style and the Z Cross Touring. As the names suggest, the Black Style gets blacked-out exterior and interior highlights, while the Cross Touring is fitted with exterior elements like front and rear bash plates and side cladding which make it look more rough-road ready.
We expect Honda to bring the ZR-V Hybrid Z Top variant to India, which has a more upmarket design and all the features which will fit its halo product positioning here.
Honda ZR-V Hybrid Grille Design Comparison
Honda offers the ZRV Hybrid with two different grille designs in every market – one with vertical fins and one with honeycomb elements. We expect the vertical grille to be offered in India as it gives it the more appealing SUV look.
Honda ZR-V Hybrid Front Quarter
As you can see above, the ZR-V Hybrid takes a softer approach to SUV design. It has flowing curves and a gentle face. The tapering hood has been designed for better forward visibility for the driver, the vertical grille breaks the otherwise tame design.

The soft design of the ZRV is even more evident when you look at the side design. The long hood, gently sloping rear and the curved design elements everywhere make it look more like a lifted wagon than an SUV.

The rear look of the ZRV continues with the soft, curvy theme seen at the front and side. It features a roof-mounted spoiler above the rear windshield, black-tint taillights with prominent LED DRLs and twin exhaust ports in the rear bumper with a chrome surround.

Honda ZR-V Hybrid Headlights
Full-LED headlights with High Beam Support (HSS) are offered as standard on the ZR-V Hybrid, the Z top variant further gets adaptive functionality, auto height adjustment and cornering lights. The light housing is black-tinted for a premium look.
Honda ZR-V Hybrid Taillights
Featuring a design that gets slimmer from the outside to inside, the taillights of the ZRV Hybrid are all-LED – including the DRLs, brake lamps, indicators and reverse lamps. The housing is the same as the headlights, with black-tinting to add to the premium look.
Honda ZR-V Hybrid Grille
The closeup of the grille of the ZRV Hybrid shows the eight-sided main opening with 11 vertical elements in it. The vertical slats are not straight, except for the one in the middle, the upper element of each curves to the side progressively.
Honda ZR-V Z Hybrid Alloy Wheel Design
Several alloy wheel designs are available with the ZRV internationally, though all of them are 18-inch units. Seen here is the diamond-cut simple spoke design, depending on the market there are other more complex designs available too. The alloy wheels are fitted with 225/55 R18 tyres, which are expected to be carried over to India.

In spite of being powered by a 4-cylinder strong hybrid 2.0L engine, the ZRV gets twin exhausts – with exhaust covers integrated into the rear bumper. These exhaust ports hide the rear pipes while also adding to the sporty look of the SUV.

Honda ZR-V Hybrid Dashboard
The cabin design of the upcoming ZRV follows Honda’s minimalist design philosophy seen in the Elevate SUV and City sedan. This includes the central freestanding touchscreen infotainment system on top of the dashboard, and the horizontal look of the dashboard with lines extending from side to side. Honda ZR-V Hybrid Interior Colour Themes
The ZRV top variant in Japan gets two interior themes, both with all-leather seat covers, dashboard and door elements. We expect Honda to offer the more premium looking Maroon interior in India, though the lighter interior from the Cross Touring Edition cannot be ruled out. The all-black interior is premium looking too, but it will definitely not be welcome in India’s harsh summer season…

Honda ZR-V Hybrid Steering Wheel
No flat-bottom steering wheel here, the ZRV Hybrid gets a perfect round one. Physical buttons for multimedia, instrument cluster menu and adaptive cruise control are available.
Honda ZR-V Hybrid Instrument Cluster

The all-digital 10.25-inch instrument cluster is expected to feature configurable displays based on the drive mode selected or on the driver’s needs.
Honda ZR-V Hybrid Head Up Display
A single colour head up display is also expected to be offered in the upcoming ZRV Hybrid. This is a great aid for safe driving without the driver needing to take their eyes off the road to look at the all-digital instrument cluster for basic information.
Honda ZR-V Hybrid Touchscreen with Android Automotive OS
A 9-inch freestanding touchscreen infotainment system is expected in the ZRV Hybrid. The 9-inch touchscreen is smaller than the screens in rivals like the Volkswagen Tiguan R-Line and Skoda Kodiaq – it is smaller than the 10.25-inch unit of the Elevate SUV too!
Apart from wireless Android Auto and Apple Carplay connectivity, the unique feature of the ZRVs infotainment system is Android Automotive OS. With a built-in SIM card or through a wi-fi hotspot, features like Google Maps, YouTube Music and other Google apps can be used.
Honda ZR-V Hybrid Sound System – Bose Centerpoint
The ZRV top variant is expected to be fitted with a 12-speaker sound system designed by Bose. This is also expected to get the Bose Centerpoint technology which promises higher sound quality and better surround sound effect.

The AC system of the ZRV Hybrid is expected to get dual automatic temperature zones for the front occupants and AC vents for the rear occupants as well. The rear AC vents are expected to be placed on a console between the front two seats, with adjustable air flow controls for both speed and direction.

Honda ZR-V Hybrid Wireless Phone Charger
A wireless phone charger is expected to be offered in the upcoming ZRV Hybrid in India. Placed on the front lower centre console, this charging pad could accommodate large modern smartphones with ease.
Honda ZR-V Hybrid USB-C Ports Front
For mobile phones without wireless charging capabilities, the ZRV Hybrid is also expected to be offered with twin USB-C type ports and a 12V charging socket. One of the front USB-C type port also allows for wired Android Auto and Apple Carplay phone mirroring.
Honda ZR-V Hybrid Cupholders and Bottle Holders
In terms of cup holders and bottle storage spaces, the 2026 ZRV Hybrid is expected to get: 2x cup holders in the front lower centre console, 2x bottle holder in the front door pads, 2x cup holders in the rear centre armrest and single bottle holder in both rear door pads.

To store small items, the new ZRV Hybrid in India is expected to get the following: A front roof-mounted sunglass holder, a large storage space under the centre floor console, front seatback pockets and a glovebox.

The ZRV top model in India is expected to be fitted with premium power-adjustable front seats. The electric controls include – seat forward/back, seat height adjust, seat base angle and seat back angle. The front seat headrest height will be manually adjustable, though.

Strictly a 5-seater SUV, the ZRV Hybrid has a 60:40-split rear seat, three-point seatbelts for all three occupants, fixed headrest for the middle passenger and adjustable headrests for the two corner occupants. The central backrest can be folded down and used as an armrest with integrated twin cup holders.
Honda ZR-V Hybrid Rear AC Vents and USB-C Ports
For added convenience we expect Honda to offer the ZRV Hybrid with AC vents for the rear passengers. The vents are placed between the front seats with direction and air flow controls. The AC vent console also features twin Type-C USB ports for easy charging of smartphones or other devices.
Honda ZR-V Hybrid Second Row Shade
To be imported to India as a completely built unit (CBU), the 2026 ZRV Hybrid is expected to miss out on a critical premium feature – collapsible window shades for the second-row windows. This critical comfort and privacy feature may be offered as an optional accessory, as seen in the image above, but it cannot match the convenience of a built-in collapsible unit.

The boot space in the upcoming ZRV Hybrid is expected to be between 370L to 1301L, depending on the rear seat configuration and measurement method.
Honda ZR-V Hybrid Boot Lid Features
With the rear seats up and the parcel tray placed, the 2026 ZRV Hybrid has a claimed boot space of 370L. An additional 10L of boot space is available thanks to an underfloor console, which can be used to store the parcel tray to free up an uninterrupted space if needed.
With the parcel tray placed in the underfloor console, the boot space measured up to the roof is expected to be 550L.
With the rear seats folded the space increases to 866L when measured up to the windowline and 1291L when measured up to the roof.
Honda ZR-V Hybrid Powered Boot Lid
Convenience is expected to be a high priority for the ZRV Hybrid in India. A powered boot lid will be offered as standard, while features like a kick sensor to automatically open the boot lid as well as a unique walk-away close function is also expected to be offered for added convenience and feel good factor.

Honda ZR-V Hybrid ADAS Camera
Honda Sensing ADAS technology in India is already offered on the City sedan and Elevate SUV. Since the ZRV Hybrid will be a halo product in India, it is expected to get ADAS tech as well. Honda Sensing is a camera-based ADAS system.
Honda ZR-V Hybrid Sensor Suite
Apart from the front camera-based ADAS system, the ZRV Hybrid uses sonar sensors at the front and rear for parking assist and rear radar sensors for blind-spot monitoring as well as cross-traffic alerts.
Honda ZR-V Hybrid Airbags
Supplemental Restraint System (SRS) airbag system on the upcoming Honda ZRV Hybrid is expected to consist of 8 airbags. This should include: 2x front airbags, 2x side airbags, 2x knee airbags and 2x side curtain airbags.
Honda ZR-V Hybrid ISOFIX Child Seat Mounts
For maximum family safety, the new ZRV Hybrid in India is expected to get ISOFIX child seats mounts. This includes anchor points on, and top tether anchor points behind the two outer seats, along with top tether anchor point on the roof for the centre rear seat.

Honda ZR-V Hybrid 4WD Drivetrain
Powering the 2026 Honda ZRV in India will be a 2.0L strong petrol hybrid engine. The petrol engine develops 142PS maximum power and 182Nm torque, while the electric motor develops 184PS maximum power and 315Nm torque. An automatic transmission and 4WD system can achieve a 0-100kmph time of 8 seconds.
ZR-V Hybrid Drive Modes
The ZRV Hybrid’s system can switch between engine-only, EV-only, hybrid drive and brake energy recovery mode automatically. In all drive modes, except sport, the system prioritises high fuel mileage over performance. The ZRV Hybrid mileage is claimed to be between 17.2kmpl to 20.8kmpl, depending on the testing method.

The 4WD system and strong petrol hybrid system can be set to either of 4 driving modes in the upcoming ZRV Hybrid – Economy, Normal, Snow and Sport.
Honda ZR-V Hybrid Regen Paddle Shifters
Like full EVs, the ZRV Hybrid is also expected to be offered with regenerative braking control / deceleration control through steering-mounted paddle shifters. This can allow for one-pedal driving in the city for maximum mileage as well as minimal deceleration for easy highway cruising.
