Isuzu Motors India has officially launched the 2026 model of its popular adventure lifestyle pickup truck D-Max V-Cross in India. This updated version has become more premium, feature loaded and off-road capable than before. The biggest change is that now the 4×2 variants have been completely discontinued and the shift-on-the-fly 4×4 drivetrain has become standard across all variants.
Prices start from ₹25.50 lakh and go up to ₹30.28 lakh, ex-showroom Delhi. Variants include V-Cross 4WD MT Z, 4WD MT Z Prestige and 4WD AT Z Prestige. Let's take a look at its design, interior, features, safety, engine and performance details.
exterior design
The look of the new D Max V-Cross has become more aggressive and modern than before. The front fascia is completely revised. The new black grille with chunky black lower lip, reworked front bumper (faux skid plate removed), bi-LED projector headlamps, LED daytime running lights and LED tail lamps remain intact.
The design of the new 18-inch alloy wheels is fresh. The side body cladding and black wheel arches have been removed, giving a clean and muscular profile. All black roof rails, glossy black sporty fog lamp bezels and sporty black grille surrounds make it adventure ready. Overall, this rugged pickup now looks more stylish and premium. Its length is approximately 5332 mm, wheelbase is 3095 mm and high-ground clearance is good, which is perfect for off-roading.
interior detail
The cabin is now more premium and user-friendly than before. The higher variants come with a new 10.3-inch floating touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. The dashboard and doors are finished with new contrast trim inserts, piano black accents and gloss black AC vents. 3D electro-luminescent instrument cluster, leather accented seats, 6-way electrically adjustable driver seat, automatic climate control and improved rear seat angle add to the comfort.
The twin cockpit ergonomic design, leather finish on the steering wheel and mounted controls make driving fun. The 360 degree surround view camera (cameras in the grille, mirrors and tailgate) helps a lot in parking and off-roading. The top trim has an 8-speaker sound system with roof-mounted speakers. Storage space, USB Type-A and Type-C ports, power windows and full carpet floor covering make every detail practical.
Features and safety
Many new features have been added to the 2026 model. It gets cruise control, keyless entry, push-button start, TPMS (Tyre Pressure Monitoring System), auto locking differential (standard), power foldable ORVMs with turn indicators, Passive Entry and Start System (PESS), Idle Stop System (ISS) and flexible rear seat (60:40 tip-up) for safety along with 6 airbags (dual front, side and curtain), ABS. With EBD, Electronic Stability Control (ESC), Traction Control System (TCS), Hill Descent Control (HDC), Hill Start Assist, Brake Override System and ISOFIX child seat anchorages are provided.
Engine and Performance
There is no major change in the powertrain, but the performance is as strong as before. The 1.9 liter 4-cylinder common rail VGS turbo intercooled diesel engine produces 163 PS power and 360 Nm torque. It can be bought with a 6-speed manual or 6-speed torque converter automatic transmission. The ladder-frame chassis, double wishbone front suspension and rear leaf springs make it perfect for heavy loads and off-roading. Mileage can be around 12-13 kmpl on the highway and 10-11 kmpl in the city.
