Vehicle Sales Report: Federation of Automobile Dealers Association (FADA) has released the sales report of vehicles sold across the country in September 2024. In this report, sales figures of two wheelers, three wheelers, private vehicles, commercial vehicles and tractors have been released. According to the report, there has been a decline in vehicle sales in September. A total of 17,23,330 units of vehicles have been sold during September 2024. Of these, two wheelers have sold the most. According to the report, despite the decline, the two-wheeler segment had the highest share. After this, sales of private vehicles took second place.

According to FADA report, sales of two wheelers across the country stood at 12,04,259 units. Talking about personal vehicles, car sales stood at 2,75,681 units. The total figure of three-wheelers stood at 1,06,524 units, while sales of commercial vehicles reached 74,324 units. Whereas in the tractor segment, sales of 62,542 units were recorded.

The biggest decline was seen in the private vehicle segment, where a decline of 10.80% on monthly basis and 18.81% on annual basis was recorded.

If we talk about September 2023, at that time a total of 18,91,499 units of vehicles were sold. 13,38,237 units were sold in the two-wheeler segment, 3,09,053 units in the personal vehicle segment, 1,05,478 units in the three-wheeler segment, 73,253 units in the commercial segment and 65,478 units in the tractor segment. This time a decline of 8.89% has been recorded compared to the year 2024.

The Czech government said on Friday it would pressure the EU to review emissions rules ahead of the plan, saying tougher rules would harm the competitiveness of the European car sector.

He said sanctions for failure to comply would prevent carmakers from investing in development, putting them at a disadvantage to rivals in China or the United States.

Kupka said Prague would invite ministers and European Parliament members from other EU countries to support the campaign.

The European Automobile Manufacturers Association (ACEA) also last month asked Brussels to “come forward with urgent relief measures before the new CO2 targets for cars and vans come into force in 2025”.

Europe is racing to produce more electric cars as part of its green transition, with an EU deadline to phase out the sale of fossil fuel-burning cars by 2035 approaching.

But after years of growth, electric car sales began to decline in late 2023, and now account for just 12.5 percent of new cars sold on the continent.

The Nissan Magnite facelift is available in 6 main variants which include Visia, Visia+, Ascenta, N-Connecta, Tecna, and Tecna+. New Delhi. Kia India has launched its luxury electric SUV Kia EV9 in the Indian market. Kia EV9 was first showcased by the company at the Auto Expo held last year. Kia India has launched its new electric SUV Kia EV9 in a feature-packed GT-Line trim.

Its starting price has been kept at Rs 1.3 crore (ex-showroom). This vehicle has been brought to India under Complete Built Unit (CBU), due to which its price is slightly higher.

Design and size
Talking about the design of Kia EV9, it has high-tech digital-pattern lighting with attractive L-shaped DRLs, vertically stacked LED headlamps, and closed-off grille. Its rear includes vertical LED tail-lamps, dual-tone bumper, and spoiler. Its size is also quite large, its length is 5,015 mm, width is 1,980 mm, height is 1,780 mm, and wheelbase is 3,100 mm.

Features and Comfort
Kia EV9 has been launched as a 6-seater SUV, with captain seats in the second row. It has a dual-screen display, which includes a 12.3-inch touchscreen and a digital instrument cluster. Inside the vehicle, it has a 4-spoke steering wheel, physical controls, and dual-tone brown and black interior, which gives it a premium look.

Kia EV9 has a battery capacity of 99.8kWh, which is connected to dual electric motors. These motors together generate 384hp power and 700Nm torque. This SUV offers a range of 561 km on a single charge, making it capable of covering long distances like Delhi to Lucknow.

Talking about its powerful performance, Kia EV9 accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in just 5.3 seconds. Additionally, its battery can be charged from 10% to 80% in just 24 minutes with a 350kW DC fast charger.

The company started the booking of Thar Roxx, the 5 door model of its popular Thar SUV, on October 2. Within just an hour of the start of booking, 1,76,218 units of this new SUV of the company were booked. According to the information, the company can start the delivery of SUV on the day of Dussehra.

The five-door Mahindra Thar Rocks is available in six variants – MX1, MX3, MX5, AX3L, AX5L and AX7L. The price of its RWD variant starts from Rs 12.99 lakh and the price of 4×4 version starts from Rs 18.79 lakh (ex-showroom). The RWD variant is offered with both petrol and diesel engines, while the 4×4 comes only with the diesel engine.

The Thar Rocks is not just a bigger version of the Thar, but it is also more premium than its three-door counterpart and comes with updated design both inside and out. EU members face a decisive vote on Friday on whether to impose tariffs of up to 45% on imports of Chinese-made electric vehicles in the bloc's highest-profile trade case that risks retaliation from Beijing.

The European Commission, which oversees the bloc's trade policy, proposed final duties for the next five years to combat unfair Chinese subsidies after a year-long anti-subsidy investigation.

Under EU rules, the Commission can impose tariffs for the next five years unless a qualified majority of the 15 European countries representing 65% of the EU's population vote against the plan.

Reuters reported on Wednesday that France, Greece, Italy and Poland would vote in favor, enough to prevent a blocking majority against the tariffs.

Tariffs range from 7.8% for Tesla to 35.3% for SAIC and other companies that are believed not to have cooperated with the EU investigation. These tariffs are on top of the EU's standard 10% import duty on cars.
