The recent reports of Cars24 and Orbit said that the expensive car buyers adopt a fruitful attitude towards their millions of car. The claims being made in this report are quite shocking and this also reveals the negligence of the people.

It has been told in the report that 50 percent of the vehicles in the country do not even have valid insurance. The largest number of this is of two -wheelers. The condition is that in states like Delhi, UP, Gujarat and Tamil Nadu, less than 30 percent people have pollution certificates. On the one hand, where the number of vehicles is increasing year after year, there is a steady decline in following these standards.

How much carelessness in following standards
Statistics show that gross negligence is being done in these standards. The compliance rate in southern states like Andhra Pradesh and Kerala is 9.6 percent, while this figure is 5.6 percent in the northern state. Laps insurance is the biggest problem in the northern states, while the biggest problem in the southern states is the violation of the Pollution Certificate. The rate of observance of standards in Maharashtra is only 1.9 percent, while in Rajasthan this figure is somewhat better with 6.74 percent.

The report states that between June 2024 and 2025, the payment from the fastag has increased by more than 17 per cent, while the average balance in it is also more than Rs 400. This shows how much difference has been made between digital and legal compliance. Not only this, people are not even paying the challan money. Since 2015, an challan of Rs 5.11 lakh crore has been deducted, out of which only Rs 1.92 lakh crore was paid. So far, an invoice of Rs 3.18 lakh crore has not been filled and 7.69 crore challans are pending in the court.

Vehicles can also be confiscated if the challan is deducted by drivers who do not have car insurance or PUCC. In a city like Delhi, where the PUCC rate is the lowest, a challan of 10 thousand rupees is deducted. Despite this, people are not becoming aware. Not only this, if there is any damage in the car, it will also have to spend the money of making it on its own. Despite this, more than half of the people do not insure their vehicles.
