Mahindra & Mahindra launches XUV 7XO, which has DAVINCI suspension, triple-screen setup and mHawk diesel engine. The price ranges from Rs 13.66 lakh to Rs 24.92 lakh. Mahindra's XUV 7XO is the new incarnation of the company's XUV 700. The company has launched the facelift model in the market with a new name. Even before this, the brand has done this with some of its cars.

The XUV700 was already a popular SUV, but the XUV 7XO clearly aims to make it more premium, more comfortable and full of technology. After driving for a while, some things became clear, while some things could still have been better. Features you will like- Mahindra's new DAVINCI suspension system has been given in XUV 7XO. This is the biggest change, which you can feel immediately. The ride of the XUV 7XO is much better than before, especially on bad roads. It handles sharp shocks easily and the hard thump that was felt at low speeds has now reduced. The SUV feels quite stable and quiet on the highway, be it long potholes or rough roads. There is very little bouncing and the car settles down quickly. Despite being a large SUV, it feels comfortable and reliable.
As soon as you step inside, the upgrades in the cabin are clearly visible. The dual-tone interior makes the space feel light and inviting. The quality of the materials is also good, with plenty of soft-touch surfaces. The triple-screen setup (12.3-inch driver display, 12.3-inch central touchscreen and 12.3-inch co-driver touchscreen) completely transforms the dashboard. It looks modern, is full of technology and gives an upmarket feel to the XUV 7XO. The screen is sharp and smooth, which makes the user experience even better.

The 2.2-litre mHawk diesel engine mated to a 6-speed automatic (182hp and 450Nm) is easy to drive. There is no problem in driving in the city due to low-end torque. You do not need to press the throttle too much. On the highway the SUV feels solid and relaxed, even at high speeds. The gearbox shifts smoothly and remains in the background. With a stable ride, the XUV 7XO proves to be a good companion for long drives.
One of the few things you might not like is that simple things like climate control and front seat ventilation are controlled through the touchscreen. This means more tapping and more time taking your eyes off the road. The glossy touch panel below the air-con vents looks good, but is a bit difficult to use initially. If there were some physical buttons, it would have been easier for everyday use.
It's still not a true third row for adults. It is fine for children and people of short stature can sit for short periods of time. But tall people will feel uncomfortable in long journeys.
The seats are comfortable, there is no doubt about that. But if you are tall then you may feel lack of under-thigh support. It's fine for short drives, but would need a little more support on long journeys.
Mahindra XUV 7XO price starts from Rs 13.66 lakh and goes up to Rs 24.92 lakh (ex-showroom). This is introductory pricing and will be applicable to the first 40,000 customer deliveries.
