Maruti's cars sold in September, cars made in India abroad

New Delhi. Maruti Suzuki India Limited (MSIL) recorded a total sales of 1,89,665 units in September 2025, which had 1,84,727 units in the same month last year, which led to an annual growth of 2.7%. The company sold 1,32,820 units in the domestic market, which is 8.4% less than the 1,44,962 units sold in September 2024. In the first eight days of Navratri, Maruti Suzuki delivered a record 1,65,000 units, which recently shows positive effects of GST price cut.

The company sold 48,695 units UV (utility vehicles), including Froncs, Brezza, Victoris, Grand Witara, Jimny, Ertiga, XL6 and Invulto. Last month, the company sold 74,090 units of mini and compact cars, while 2,891 units were sold in the Light Commercial Vehicle Segment.

There was a lot of export
The company's exports touched the highest monthly level with 42,204 units, which was 27,728 units in September 2024 and 36,538 units in August 2025. These figures reflect a strong focus on the brand's foreign markets.

Maruti Suzuki SUV coming up to 2026
Maruti Suzuki is planning to expand its SUV model lineup with three major launch-e vitara electric SUVs, Fronx Strong Hybrid and a premium three-ru SUV. Maruti E Vitara will come with 49kwh and 61kwh battery packs, and will claim more than 500 km MIDC range. Some of its major highlights include Level-2 Adas, ventilated front seats, panoramic sunroof, powered driver seats, reclining and split rear seats etc.

They will compete with
The Maruti Fronx will be the first model of the brand that will have a new affordable Strong Hybrid Povertrain, which has been largely in-house developed for the market. Car manufacturer is likely to hybridize its 1.2L, 3-cylinder Z-series petrol engine. A new Maruti premium SUV, which will be more than 4.5 meters in length. This is likely to be based on Grand Vitara, in which platforms, powertrains and features will be shared. After launching, the new 7-seater SUV will compete directly to Hyundai Alkazar, Mahindra XUV700 and Tata Safari.
