In January 2025, Hyundai Creta set a new record by selling 18,522 units, selling 16,231 units of Tata Panch and Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara finished third with 15,784 units.

Hyundai Creta
Hyundai started 2025 in January 2025 with a total sales of 65,603 units. Out of this number, 54,003 were sold in the domestic market, while 11,600 units were exported. The Creta SUV was the top performance for the company, which achieved a new monthly sales record of 18,522 units. This is a big leap for Creta as 12,608 units were sold in December 2024. The South Korean auto manufacturer has credited the Creta of Creta to the new Creta Electric in January.

Tata punch
Tata Panch sales figures include the Ice engine, all-electric and CNG versions. As the cheapest SUV in the Tata Motors lineup, its 16,231 units sold in January 2025, which shows a decline of 10 percent compared to January 2024, when it sold 17,978 units. However, the Tata Panch was the best-selling SUV in December 2024, with 15,073 units sold, which shows a growth of 9 percent year-on-year (YOY).

Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara
Maruti Suzuki recorded a brilliant sale in January 2025 and managed to finish Grand Vitara third. India's leading car manufacturer recorded an impressive 15,784 units, which is an annual growth of 17 percent. Its only 7,093 units were sold in December 2024.
