Toyota has announced a cut in prices of all models, including Fortuner and Legender, on the implementation of new GST rates, the new prices will be applicable from 22 September 2025.

Toyota is the latest OEM which has announced GST Benefit to customers. The Japanese auto giant has announced the cut in the prices of all its cars after the new GST rates are implemented. The new prices will be effective from 22 September 2025, the day the new GST rates will be implemented. The company has asked the customers to confirm the booking at the earliest before the festive season starts so that delivery can be ensured on time.

Toyota's price cuts latest updates have seen significant prices cut for Toyota models, with the highest cut for Fortuner, which will reduce the price of up to Rs 3.49 lakh. After this, the price of its premium variant – Legendy – will be reduced by up to Rs 3.34 lakh. The prices of Fortuner and Legender start at Rs 36.05 lakh and Rs 44.51 lakh (both ex-showrooms) respectively. The Japanese car manufacturer is hoping to announce new prices of each variant of each model of its lineup soon.
New GST Rates
More affordable cars, the new GST structure has reduced the prices of cars in all segments. Small cars less than 4 meters, which have petrol engines up to 1,200cc or diesel engine up to 1,500cc, will now attract 18% GST instead of 28%, making them 5–13% cheaper. 40% GST will be imposed on large cars with length more than 4 meters in length. However, due to the removal of the cess, their over all tax has come down, which has reduced prices by 3-10%.
