2026 is going to be a big year for Renault India, as the company is going to relaunch its iconic Duster brand in the country. The company will skip the second generation model and directly bring the third generation Duster to India, which will see tremendous design changes, new engines with better features and technology.
The new 2026 Renault Duster will debut in India on January 26, Independence Day. This time the road for Duster will not be easy as it will have to compete with powerful SUVs like Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Maruti Grand Vitara, Tata Sierra, Toyota Highrider, Skoda Kushaq, Volkswagen Taigun and Honda Elevate.

To increase the enthusiasm among the customers, Renault India has released several teasers, in which a glimpse of the front and rear profile of the SUV can be seen. The new Duster will get newly designed headlamps, which will have eyebrow shaped LED DRLs, new grille with three air intakes at the bottom, roof rails and connected tail lamps.
The spy image shows a camera module on the front, which hints at the presence of a 360-degree camera. The special thing is that a radar sensor for ADAS (Autonomous Driver Assistance System) has also been seen on the windscreen, making it the first Renault car to offer ADAS feature in India.
In terms of safety, the new Duster will have features like six airbags, tire pressure monitoring system, electronic stability control, ISOFIX child seat anchors and ABS with EBD.
The new 2026 Renault Duster will get many premium features, including panoramic sunroof (in higher variants), 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, 7-inch digital driver display, ambient lighting, 6-speaker Arkamis sound system, wireless phone charger, powered driver seat, ventilated front seats, premium audio system, cruise control, push button start with keyless entry. And there's a lot more involved.
Official information about the engine may be revealed at the time of debut. However, it is expected that the new Duster will get a 1.3 liter turbo petrol mild hybrid engine, which will give a power of 156 bhp, along with the option of 1.0 liter turbo petrol engine. The option of a strong hybrid powertrain can also be added to it a few months after launch.
