Big families always turn to 7-seater cars. The same was seen in last month's sale also. On one hand, Maruti Suzuki Ertiga was the best selling 7-seater car in January 2026. At the same time, sales of Mahindra Bolero and Mahindra Scorpio have increased. Let us have a look at the Model Wise Sales Report.
Maruti Ertiga is at number one in the list. This 7-seater SUV got 17,892 new customers last month. This figure represents an impressive growth of 26 percent on an annual basis compared to the total 14,248 units sold in January 2025. It sells it at a starting ex-showroom price of only ₹ 8.80 lakh.
Maruti Suzuki Ertiga Features and Engine
The interior of Maruti Ertiga is spacious and premium. It has features like 7-seater layout, dual-tone dashboard, soft-touch materials, 7-inch touchscreen infotainment (Android Auto/Apple CarPlay), automatic climate control, rear AC vents and cruise control. Safety includes 6 airbags (top variant), ABS+EBD, ESP, hill hold and ISOFIX.
Its 1.5L K-series petrol engine (103 bhp) is also available in CNG option, which also gives smooth performance. Mileage according to ARAI is 20.3-20.51 kmpl in petrol and up to 26.11 km/kg in CNG, which makes it an economical option for family use.
Mahindra Scorpio
Maruti Scorpio is at second place in the list. It has got 15,542 new customers last month. This figure shows a slight increase of 1 percent on an annual basis compared to the total 15,442 units sold in January 2025.
Mahindra Bolero
Bolero is at number three in terms of sales. It got a total of 11,841 new customers last month. This figure represents an impressive growth of 36 percent year-on-year compared to the total 8,682 units sold in January 2025.
Mahindra XUV 7X0
Mahindra XUV 7XO has made a splash as soon as it arrived. It has received a total of 10,133 new customers last month. This performance is much better considering its recent launch.
Toyota Innova
Despite decline in sales, Toyota Innova has reached the top-5 list. It got a total of 9,455 new customers last month. This figure shows a decline of 3 percent on an annual basis as compared to the total 9,780 units sold in January 2025.
Apart from the top-5 cars of 7-seater segment mentioned above, 5,633 units of Kia Carens, 3,820 units of Maruti Suzuki XL6, 3,046 units of Toyota Fortuner, 2,509 units of Renault Triber and 2,375 units of Tata Safari were sold last month.
