New Delhi. Mahindra XEV 9S 7-seater family electric SUV is set to be officially launched on 27 November 2025. With each passing day, new information is emerging through teaser images and videos. Details about some of its special features have been revealed in the latest teaser. Let's take a look.
triple screen setup
Like the XEV 9e, this new Mahindra electric SUV will also come with a triple screen setup, which will include a touchscreen infotainment system, a fully digital instrument cluster and a dedicated entertainment display for the front passenger. In this matter, it is going to compete directly with Tata Sierra. Because Tata Sierra is also going to be unveiled on 25th November. This SUV of Tata is also going to come with triple screen setup.
What did you see in the teaser?
The official teaser confirms that the features include a gloss black steering wheel with an illuminated logo, Harman Kardon sound system, panoramic sunroof, electronic parking brake with auto hold, sliding second row seats and power adjustable driver seat with memory function. The XEV 9S will also have toggle-like power window switches like the XEV 9e and BE 6.

Mahindra XEV 9S Battery and Range
Although official specifications have not been revealed yet, the 7-seater XEV 9S electric SUV is likely to share the 59kWh and 79kWh battery packs of the XEV 9e. In single motor configuration, these batteries deliver a MIDC range of 542 km and 656 km respectively. The XEV 9S is expected to offer similar range figures to its 5-seater sibling.

Direct competition with Tata Sierra
The dashboard of the Sierra is equipped with a segment-first triple-screen setup, consisting of a digital driver display, an infotainment touchscreen and a passenger screen – all neatly arranged next to each other. It seems that the infotainment and passenger screens can be synced to show a screensaver and possibly a video. The interior of the Sierra is in a black and beige color scheme, using satin metal inserts.

Borrowed from the Curve is the 4-spoke steering wheel with an illuminated Tata logo and the control panel on the center console, which has mostly capacitive buttons except the temperature switch. From the controls on the panel, we can understand that the Sierra will offer dual-zone climate control, a powered tailgate and a 360-degree camera in the higher variants. At the bottom, a thick gear lever can be seen with metal trim, with piano black plastic around the base.
Dual-tone beige seats and rear window sunshades
At the rear, the Sierra will have dual-tone beige seats and sunshades for the windows. Other expected features of the Sierra include Level 2 ADAS, ventilated front seats, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, front and rear parking sensors, a panoramic sunroof, a powered driver seat, a digital interior rearview mirror (IRVM), a wireless charging pad and an electronic parking brake with auto hold.
