Foreign car manufacturers like to bring out unique models to take advantage of exclusivity and increase financial value by offering a unique status symbol to their ultra-affluent customers. Other times, these cars exist as a means to pay homage to certain occasions, places, milestones, individuals… the list goes on. This ultra-exclusive 911 was named after “Ilha Formosa” or 'Beautiful Island', the title given to Taiwan by Portuguese sailors in the 16th century. To evoke the same essence that captivated these sailors many years ago, Porsche Taiwan established the Sondurwunsch department and came up with a unique exclusivity to capture the hearts of car and nature lovers alike.

The 911 Carrera T Formosa wears Ipanema Blue metallic to reflect the surrounding oceans, paired with Suzuka Gray accents inspired by the country's stone formations.

To this effect, the 911 Carrera T Formosa wears Porsche's paint sample of Ipanema Blue Metallic, meant to symbolize the waters of the Pacific Ocean and South China Sea that surround Taiwan. This contrasts with Suzuka Gray metallic details on the rear lettering, window trim and engine lid slats to represent the rugged stone formations on the island country's east coast.

The Formosa gets exclusive black HD-matrix design LED headlights and exclusive design taillights for a sporty look. It rides on 20-/21-inch RS Spider wheels that are finished in Suzuka Gray Metallic with Vanadium Gray Metallic for the inner rims.

Inside, Paldao wood trim, dual-tone leather upholstery and the unique Formosa checkered pattern create a cabin rooted in Taiwan's lush greenery.

The theme continues when you step inside the Paldao wood-trimmed cabins that aim to evoke Taiwan's lush greenery. Passengers are treated to full bucket seats adorned in dual-tone truffle brown and black leather with night green contrast stitching. The highlight here is the Formosa checkered pattern in night green, black and cream white, which adorns the seat inserts and leather-lined frunk.

The 911 Carrera T comes with illuminated door sill guards, which here read “Formosa x Sonderwunsch”. The “Formosa” logo embossed on the headrests blends the coupe's silhouette with mountain and nautical motifs.
