Prime Minister Narendra Modi went to Ethiopia on Tuesday and Ethiopian Prime Minister Dr. Abiy Ahmed Ali welcomed him at Addis Ababa International Airport. Along with this, he himself took PM Modi to the hotel in his car. Many pictures of PM Modi and the Ethiopian PM sitting and talking in the car have gone viral. Let us tell you that the car in which both of them went was a Range Rover of Tata Group.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi started his three-country tour on Monday. Under this tour, he first reached Jordan. Then after this he went to Ethiopia and Ethiopian Prime Minister Dr. Abi Ahmed Ali welcomed Modi at Addis Ababa International Airport. He also took Modi to the hotel in his car. The car in which both of them went to the hotel was a Range Rover car.
Tata Group has a deep connection with Range Rover as Tata Motors bought Jaguar and Land Rover from Ford in 2008 for about $2.3 billion and since then Range Rover has become a core part of Tata's luxury vehicles.
This purchase was the result of Ratan Tata's forward thinking approach which saved these iconic British brands and breathed new life into them. At that time Ford was facing financial crisis and these brands were in trouble. After the arrival of Tata, Jaguar Land Rover i.e. JLR made amazing progress and sales doubled.

Let us tell you that the Tata Range Rover Sentinel in which Prime Minister Narendra Modi is sitting is a special armored SUV and its price is said to be more than ten crore rupees. This vehicle is manufactured by the Special Vehicle Operations Unit of Land Rover Company, which has the highest level of protection like VR8 or V8 ballistic protection which protects against explosions like bullet grenades and IEDs.
The body has heavy armor plates and bulletproof glass, nothing is visible from inside but the security remains complete. The tires are run flat which means that even if punctured, it can run up to 50 kilometers at a speed of 80 kilometers per hour. The engine is five liter supercharged V8 petrol which gives about 375 horsepower. 0 to 100 kilometers is reached in just ten seconds and the top speed is around 200 kilometers per hour. Despite its weight, it runs well off-road and has strong grip on all types of roads.
A video of PM Modi sitting in this car has also surfaced, in which the Prime Minister of Ethiopia and Prime Minister Narendra Modi were seen sitting in the car. The Prime Minister himself drove PM Modi to the hotel and also took him on a tour from the museum to the park.
