Maruti Suzuki has already unveiled the E Vitara, in which its design, features and battery pack options were revealed. E Vitara is already available in the global market. However, the price of this car for the Indian market will be announced on December 2. This will be the first of the four battery electric vehicles of Maruti Suzuki, which the company plans to launch in India by 2030.

Maruti Suzuki E Vitara: Special Features
Many features equipped with advanced technology will be available in Maruti Suzuki E Vitara. It will include features like LED projector headlamps, electric sunroof, multiple drive modes, 10-way electrically adjustable driver seat, ventilated front seats, Suzuki Connect. For safety, it will have features like Level 2 ADAS, 360-degree camera, TPMS, seven airbags.

Maruti Suzuki E Vitara: What will be the powertrain options?
Maruti Suzuki E Vitara will get a 48.8 kWh battery pack, while a larger 61.1 kWh battery pack will also be available. Both battery pack options will be paired with a single electric motor, which will be mounted on the front axle. Maruti Suzuki claims that the upcoming E Vitara will give a range of up to 500 km on a single charge. The battery can be charged from 0 to 80% with DC fast charger in just 50 minutes.

Why is Maruti e-Vitara special?
There is a lot of discussion about Maruti E Vitara in the market. A big reason for this is that this is Maruti's first electric car. In India, players like Tata and Mahindra have already created their strong portfolio and large customer base by launching many electric cars in India. Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday inaugurated the local production unit of Maruti Suzuki Motor's hybrid battery electrode at Hansalpur plant in Gujarat and gave the green signal to the export of Maruti Suzuki's first global battery electric SUV, E-Vitara. This model will be made in India and will be sent to more than 100 countries including European countries and major markets like Japan.

Prior to this program, PM Modi described this launch as an important step towards India's self -sufficiency. He said that E-Vitara is a major achievement for the country's electric vehicle ecosystem and the start of electrode production in Gujarat will promote domestic battery manufacturing. The e-Vitara has been introduced as a global electric SUV and has a length of 4,275 mm, width 1,800 mm, height 1,640 mm and wheelbase 2,700 mm. It uses a 3-in-1 electric system which integrates motor, inverter and transmission.

Two battery pack option

Customers will have two battery pack options. A 49kwh unit with a front-mounted motor producing 144hp and 189Nm, and a large 61kwh unit with 174hp and 189Nm produced with front motor. For better performance, the large battery will be introduced with the all-wheel-drive (AWD) setup, with a 65hp rear motor. This AWD variant develops a joint output of 184hp and 300Nm, while the charge on the large battery pack is expected to give a driving range of more than 500 km.

Will get better after cell service
Maruti Suzuki will also create a strong charging and service network with E-Vitara. The owners will get smart home charger and installation assistance, while in the top 100 cities, public fast-charging points will be installed every 5-10 km within 2-3 years. To further strengthen after cell support, the company will prepare 1,500 eV-red workshops in more than 1,000 cities.
