New Delhi. BYD India has announced changes in the prices of its electric SUV in the domestic market. From January 1, 2026, the price of Sealion 7 Premium variant has now been increased by Rs 50,000. At the same time, the performant variant of the electric SUV will be available at the same price as before. According to the company, only the old prices will be applicable on bookings made on or before December 31, 2025. After the price change on January 1, the BYD Sealion 7 premium model with 82.56 kWh battery will now be available for Rs 49,40,000, which was earlier Rs 48,90,000. Whereas, the price of Sealion 7 Performance model will remain only Rs 54,90,000. This is a big step for the company as this SUV is one of its flagship models. Since its launch in the country, 2,300 units of this SUV have been sold so far.

BYD Sealion 7 has the company's cell-to-body design and blade battery technology. Both variants have 82.56 kWh battery and have received 5-star Euro NCAP safety rating. The performance variant has a power of 522 hp and a torque of 690 Nm, which accelerates from 0 to 100 km per hour in just 4.5 seconds. The premium variant produces 308 hp power and 380 Nm torque, and accelerates from 0 to 100 kmph in 6.7 seconds. The certified range of these vehicles is up to 567 km as per NEDC cycle.
