Tata relaunches Punch Camo Edition

Tata Motors has re-launched a limited edition CAMO version of the Punch SUV, featuring dual-tone seaweed green exterior and updated features. at cost ₹ 8.45 lakh ex-showroom, it retains the same engine options and offers a five-star safety rating, competing with the Hyundai Xcent and Maruti Suzuki Swift.

Suzuki Motorcycle India launches GSX-8R 9.25 lakh ex-showroom, added to its 800 cc platform lineup. Competing with rivals like the Honda CBR650R, it features a 776 cc engine producing 82 bhp, advanced electronics and attractive styling with unique LED DRLs.

BMW M4 CS launched in India

BMW M4 CS, Price Rs.1.89 crore ex-showroom, enhances track performance with better cooling, stiffer mounts and 542 bhp engine. It accelerates from 0-100 kmph in 3.4 seconds and has lightweight components for better handling.

Hyundai is offering discounts in October

Hyundai offers discounts up to Grand i10 Nios and Rs 58,000 Rs 55,000 off on i20 this October. Discounts are available on four models, including SUVs like Exeter and Venue, to boost sales amid a decline in the passenger vehicle segment.

BMW Vision Neue Klasse X SUV teased ahead of global debut on March 21

The BMW Vision Neue Klasse X concept will make its debut on March 21

BMW has dropped the first teaser for the upcoming Vision Neue Klasse X SUV, which will make its global debut on March 21, 2024. The BMW Vision Neue Klasse X concept previews a new design direction for the automaker’s SUV range and the teaser reveals a silhouette of the offering, which appears to be identical to the iX.

The BMW Vision Neue Klasse X concept is expected to preview the upcoming range of cars based on the Neue Klasse EV platform. The new architecture will spawn six new cars that will start rolling out in the second half of 2025.

BMW is said to be working on a new five-seater SUV that will replace the current iX3 in the company’s portfolio and is likely to pack around 600 bhp. This will be joined by the BMW i3 saloon, which will be based on the Neue Klasse concept showcased at the 2023 Munich Motor Show. More models will be added to the portfolio in the second half of the decade.

The upcoming Vision Neue Klasse X will take on the upcoming Porsche Macan EV and the newly introduced Audi Q6 e-tron. The offering will be built at BMW’s Debrecen facility in Hungary from 2025, while the automaker’s Munich, Germany, and San Luis Potosi, Mexico, facilities will also begin building Neue Klasses models from 2026 and 2027 respectively.

The BMW Neue Klasse platform will get the sixth-generation lithium-ion battery that has been developed in-house by BMW and comes with liquid cooling. More importantly, the new vehicles will be using the 800-volt electric architecture allowing 30 per cent faster charging times over the current BMW EV lineup. There’s also the new generation of electric motors that will power not only the Neue Klasse-based models but also the CLAR-based EVs.

BMW 2 Series Gran Coupe M Performance Edition launched in India at ₹46 lakh

Being a Performance Edition, several exterior elements are finished in Cerium Grey. For instance, the front grille, fog lamp inserts and the outside rearview mirrors. There are M performance stickers as well. BMW has also retweaked the light element and there are full LED tail lamps.

The interior also gets a few upgrades. It now comes with a gear-selector finished in Alcantara. There are M Performance door projectors and M Performance door pin. The sport seats come with electric adjustment and memory function. The boot space measures a generous 430 litre. It can be further expanded because the rear seats can be folded in a 40/20/40 split. There is ambient lighting with six dimmable designs.

In terms of features, there is BMW Live Cockpit Professional which includes a 0.25-inch digital instrument display and a 10.25-inch Control Display. The driver also gets a heads-up display. There is also a virtual assistant and BMW Gesture Control on offer. The car features the HiFi loudspeaker system, a parking assistant with rearview camera and wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.

Powering the 220i M Performance Edition is a 2.0-litre petrol engine that has been twin-turbocharged. It puts out 173 bhp of max power and a peak torque output of 280 Nm at 1350-4600 rpm. The gearbox on duty is a 7-speed automatic transmission with paddle shifters. The car accelerates from 0 -100 kmph in just 7.1 seconds.
