Maruti Suzuki Ciaz will be removed from the Indian market by April 2025. This decision has been taken due to the increasing demand of SUV and declining sales of Ciaz.

New Delhi. Maruti Suzuki is the most popular carmaker in the country. This brand has launched many iconic cars in India. Currently Maruti's market share is the highest. But, in the past, the market share of the company has decreased, the biggest reason for which is the continuous increasing competition. In the current era, when the automobile market is shifting fast towards SUV models, the company is also preparing to make its portfolio change. In such a situation, a 'iconic' car of Maruti is now going to say goodbye to the Indian market. Let's know about this car.

The Maruti Suzuki Ciaz will be shown the way out of the market by April 2025 amid the decline in sales and market shifts towards SUV. According to Autocar India report, the production will be closed by March 2025, the sale is expected to be closed by April.

Market share of SUV cars increased
Perhaps the most important contributor to the decline in sales is a change in the choice of buyers. In 2015, the sedan stakes 20 percent of the India's car market; By 2024, the stake had fallen below 10 percent, the SUV's stake in the sales of the Total Passenger Vehicle Segment exceeded 50 percent.

Classes decreasing continuously
In fY 2018, the sale of mid -size sedan reached 1,73,374 units, which declined to 97,466 in FY 24 continuously. On Monthly Basis, Siaz's 659 units in October, 597 in November and 464 units in December 2024 were seen, a total of 5,861 units for the first 9 months of FY 2015 – 34 percent declined on a year -annual basis for the first 9 months of FY 2015. Ciaz was launched as a replacement of SX4 in 2014. It got initial success and it was often ahead of Honda City and Hyundai Varna in its segment.
