GST 2025 – What has changed?
Before Maruti, many car brands like Mahindra and Tata have also declared new rates of their cars. According to the new GST rules, vehicles with small petrol engine from 1200cc will now be kept in 18% slab, which were earlier in the 28% category, which has now been abolished. Large cars and SUVs will now come in the new 40% GST slab, which was 50% earlier. This change means that all hatchbacks and subcompact SUV prices will be significantly cut, which will be effective from September 22. Buyers can save up to Rs 1.86 lakh on sub-4 meter SUV in this Diwali season.
