After Tesla, Maruti-Tata will sleep bye! The most 'cheap' car going to launch in India

New Delhi. Byd is the world's largest electric car manufacturer and while Tesla is behind it, the Chinese EV brand is making its portfolio grow in major international markets. In India, byd has already made its place with a completely electric model like Atto 3, Seal, Sealion 7, and Emax 7. Now it seems that Chinese electric car manufacturer is preparing to launch another new car in India. Recently, the test mule of BYD Atto 2 was seen on Indian roads, which can be launched in India soon. This compact electric SUV will be placed below ATTO 3 in the company's India lineup.

Competition with these cars
For the first time, the Atto 2, introduced at the 2025 Brussels Motor Show, is known by different names in different markets. In China it is known as Yuan Up while in Brazil it is called Yuan Pro. Based on E-platform 3.0 of Byd, ATTO 2 has a length of 4,310 mm, width 1,830 mm, and height is 1,675 mm. According to the dimensions, it can be kept in the segment of Hyundai Creta Electric, Mg ZS Ev, Mahindra Be 6, Tata Curvv Ev, and upcoming Maruti Suzuki E Vitara.

How is the look?

The spy image shows the fully Camoflaged model of Byd Atto 2, so there is not much detail about the SUV. However, seeing this, it seems that the India-Spec model will be similar to its international model. At the front, it has the same LED headlight signature. It contains LED tail lamps, while the rear spiiler comes with raised ends. Below is a Fox Defwiser, above which there are similar silver accents.

Dhansu features
Like the rest of the BYD lineup, Atto 2 has a large 12.8-inch rotable infotainment display located in the center of the dashboard. The 8.8-inch digital instrument cluster is behind the multifunction steering wheel. The Europe-Spec Atto 2, which made his debut in January this year, has an all-black interior theme. Apart from this, panoramic sunroof, type-C charging ports, ambient lighting, heated and power-adjustable front seats, and leather upholstery. The price has not been revealed yet, but it can be the cheapest car in the company in India.
