In 2026, affordable compact electric SUVs will be launched in India like Mahindra XUV 3xo EV, Syros EV, Vinfast VF3 and Hyundai Instar Ev.

New Delhi. The demand for electric vehicles (EVS) in India is gradually increasing and in view of this increasing demand, OEMS has planned many new models for the coming years. Currently most EVs available in India are expensive, but, MG and TATA have given some affordable solutions such as COMET EV, Windsor Ev, Tiago Ev and punch ev. However, the options in the compact SUV segment are still limited. This situation will change in 2026 as at least 4 new affordable compact electric SUVs are going to hit Indian roads.

Most affordable electric offer
Mahindra XUV 3xo EV will be the most affordable electrical offering of domestic automakers in India, which is coming in 2026. This compact SUV is likely to have small sized battery packs (about 35kwh) and an electric motor. There may be some EV-specific changes inside and outside.

New Delhi. The world's leading electric vehicles (EV) manufacturer BYD currently have four models available for sale in India – Emax 7, Atto 3, Seal and Sealion. Now, the company is going to extend its Indian product portfolio and is preparing to launch its most affordable electric SUV – byd Atto 2. Although its launch in India has not been officially confirmed, it is expected that this electric SUV may come by the end of this year.

Compete with these cars
In the compact electric SUV segment, it will compete with Hyundai Creta Electric, Tata CurvV Ev, Mg ZS EV and upcoming Maruti E Vitara and Toyota Urban Cruiser.

45.1kwh battery pack

At the global level, Byd Atto 2 is available with 45.1kwh battery pack, connected with FWD electric motor, which generates 175bhp power and 290Nm torque. This EV claims a 380km NEDC range once charged once. It catches the speed of 0 to 100kmph in 7.9 seconds and its top speed is 160kmph. The SUV supports DC fast charger up to 65kw, which can charge the battery in 10% to 80% 35-40 minutes, and supports AC charging up to 11KW, which takes about 5.5 hours to fully charge.

15.6-inch rotating touchscreen
Like the interior and features other byd EVs, ATTO 2 has a 15.6-inch rotating touchscreen infotainment system and 8.8-inch digital instrument cluster. The EV includes panoramic sunroof, many USB ports, connected car features, lady's upholstery, ambient lighting, many airbags, adas suits and more.
