The BYD Sealion 7 is capable of accelerating from 0-100 kmph in 4.5 seconds and can hit a top speed of 215 kmph. The electric SUV produces 523 bhp of power and 690 Nm of peak torque.

Auto Expo 2025: Sealion is bigger than a seal!

Dimensionally, the BYD Sealion 7 measures 4,830 mm in length, 1,925 mm in width, 1,620 mm in height and has a wheelbase of 2,930 mm. This makes the Sealion 7 electric SUV 30 mm longer than the BYD Seal, while the wheelbase is 10 mm longer than the electric sedan. Also, the BYD Sealion 7 is the tallest electric car from the brand. It is available with 19-inch alloy wheels, while there are also optional 20-inch wheels available.

The first Royal Enfield electric motorcycle may look like it has taken inspiration from the brand's existing Classic range of motorcycles, but the production model will come with an entirely new design philosophy.

Indian motorcycle manufacturer, Royal Enfield is all set to take on the electric vehicle wagon with its first electric motorcycle. The electric bike will be unveiled tomorrow, November 4, at EICMA 2024.

While the company has had several teasers of the upcoming electric motorcycle, one thing the brand has focused on with the teaser is comparing the upcoming bike to the Flying Flea motorcycle that played a big role in World War 2. Keeping in mind that the brand has also filed a nameplate patent of the same name, they could call the electric motorcycle “Flying Flea”.

Royal Enfield electric motorcycle: what to expect

Earlier in October, the first Royal Enfield electric motorcycle was spotted being driven by Royal Enfield Managing Director Siddharth Lal in Barcelona. Royal Enfield will enter the EV segment with a city motorcycle instead of an electric adventure tourer. In the teaser, the motorcycle can be seen being dropped with a parachute.

The first Royal Enfield electric motorcycle may look like it has taken inspiration from the brand's existing Classic range of motorcycles, but the production model will come with a completely new design philosophy, creating an entirely new perception of the brand. Will do.

At present, there is no information about the range, specs and battery size of the upcoming electric motorcycle. But considering the size and slim design, it is expected that Royal Enfield will present it as a city motorcycle. Additionally, the upcoming Royal Enfield electric motorcycle is expected to be the most expensive product in the brand's entire portfolio. Royal Enfield has not revealed anything about the pricing strategy of its upcoming electric motorcycle. However, considering the high cost of the battery pack and the premium positioning of the EV, it will be an expensive motorcycle.

The prototype showcased by Raptee Energy previews the design of the upcoming electric motorcycle, which carries a naked roadster styling. Expect it to feature an all-LED lighting setup as well as a fully digital instrument cluster. Also, the electric motorcycle will be running sporty alloy wheels wrapped with meaty rubbers. The prototype also hints the motorcycle will come featuring disc brakes on both front and rear wheels, while suspension duty will be done by telescopic front forks.

Speaking about the powertrain, Raptee Energy has stated that the upcoming electric motorcycle will boast a powerful drivetrain. It claims to be capable of running at a top speed of 135 kmph. The EV maker also claimed that the motorcycle will offer a real-world range of up to 150 kilometres on a single charge.

The battery pack onboard the electric motorcycle claims to be capable of being charged up to 80 per cent in 45 minutes, while it will provide up to a 40-kilometre range on 15-minute charging. The motorcycle also claims to come with an acceleration capability of 0-60 kmph in 3.5 seconds. Raptee claims the motorcycle will challenge internal combustion engine-powered models as well.

The pure electric Ola sportsbike gets disc brakes on both front and rear wheels, while the rear wheel comes covered in order to achieve better aerodynamic efficiency. Another exciting fact about this bike is that the front suspension looks completely unconventional as it is positioned almost parallel to the ground. Other design elements of the Ola Diamondhead include a sleek LED strip at the tip of the tail section acting as a taillight.

Besides the Ola Diamondhead, Ola Electric is also expected to showcase its other electric motorcycle concepts at the event. The other models include a cruiser, a roadster and an adventure motorcycle, which all were showcased in August this year.

Speaking about the new special edition electric motorcycle, it claims to have been designed following the advanced electronics and technology used in modern aircraft. The motorcycle promises to deliver a 307 km range on a single charge. Its high-performance motor churns out 39.94 bhp peak power and 100 Nm of impressive maximum torque output. It is capable of accelerating 0-60 kmph in just 2.9 seconds and can run at a top speed of 152 kmph.
