Since the launch of the Nexon.ev in 2020, the company's Tata.ev range has maintained a strong presence in the segment. Nexon.ev in particular has been the center of this growth, becoming the first electric car to cross the total sales mark of 1,00,000 units in India. This is an important milestone towards EV adoption in the country.

Additionally, the brand has recently updated the Nexon.ev range with variants with new ADAS features, with prices starting at Rs 17.29 lakh (ex-showroom). The brand has introduced ADAS safety technology in Nexon.ev 45. Along with this, Tata claims that this will further increase its premium appeal. The company has also added features like rear window sunshade and ambient lighting, which will provide more value to the customers. Additionally, Tata.ev has also introduced the Nexon.ev Dark variant, further adding to the style and exclusivity of the portfolio.
Celebrating these achievements, Shailesh Chandra, MD & CEO, Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles Limited, said, “Crossing 2,50,000 EV sales shows how fast electric mobility is becoming a part of Indians' everyday lives. Our customers are now driving more, traveling longer distances and adopting EVs as their only car.
Our EV journey, which started in 2018, was not just to become a leader, but to create the entire ecosystem to take India towards clean mobility. This growth is the result of the visionary policies of the government, the strong support of our supplier partners and charging infrastructure providers and above all the trust and enthusiasm of Tata.ev customers. “As EV adoption increases, we will continue our leadership in India’s growing EV market.”
