Honda Cars India may soon launch a special edition of the Elevate, which will get sporty red treatment, new features and the Elevate hybrid variant is likely to be introduced in 2026.

New Delhi. Honda Cars India has released a teaser image which shows the Elevate midsize SUV-like silhouette. The official statement read, “Bold looks. Unstoppable spirit. Something exciting is coming your way soon.” Although, official details have not been revealed yet, but it is expected that this model will be a special edition of Honda Elevate. It may be named Elevate Bold Edition or Elevate Explorer Edition, as hinted in the teaser.

what to expect?
The teaser hints that the new Honda Elevate Special Edition may get a sporty red treatment inside and out. On the exterior, it may get red accents on the front grille and bonnet and 17-inch red finished alloy wheels. Inside, the special edition may have a dual-tone theme, possibly all-black or all-black with red highlights.

cabin updates
Overall, no changes are expected in the cabin layout and features. Honda Elevate is already equipped with a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system, auto dimming IRVM, 6-speaker audio system, wireless phone charger, ambient lighting, lane-watch camera, G-meter display, 7.0-inch TFT display, leather-wrapped steering wheel and gear knob, single-pane sunroof with pinch guard, Honda Sensing ADAS suite and other features.

Engine Specifications
Under the hood of the Honda Elevate is a 1.5-litre, four-cylinder petrol engine which is also used in the city sedan. This gasoline unit generates maximum power of 121bhp and torque of 145Nm. It has two gearbox options – 6-speed manual and 7-speed CVT automatic. Power is delivered to the front wheels through a FWD (front-wheel drive) system.

hybrid variant
Honda Elevate Hybrid in 2026 The Japanese automaker is planning to introduce the Elevate Hybrid in the second half of 2026. It can be offered with the City e:HEV's 1.5L Atkinson cycle petrol engine along with an electric motor. The hybrid version is expected to get some significant changes like 'Hybrid' badging and software updates.

Honda Car India has teased a new version of the Elevate SUV in India.

Honda Car India recently released a new teaser post for the Elevate on its social media. In the teaser, the Japanese carmaker has showcased a silhouette of a new version of the Elevate SUV. Although not much is visible, the teaser does reveal some key details about the upcoming version.

In the image, the new variant is seen sporting the new grille accessory, which is also offered in the Black Edition. Above the grille, the chrome element connecting the headlamps has also been blackened, as seen on the Black Edition. To differentiate this variant from the Black version, it gets a special red accent line running vertically on the grille. There are red markings on the edge of the fog lamp as well as on the two spokes of the alloy wheel. The alloy wheels of this version of the SUV appear in glossy black colour.

What could be the name of this new version?

The text on the post says, “An adventurous companion for the explorer inside you”. This could be a possible hint towards the naming of the SUV as an Explorer variant was under discussion earlier. However, there is no official confirmation in this regard yet.

What will power this new version of the SUV?

There will be no changes under the hood in the new version of this SUV. It will have the same 1.5 liter, 4 cylinder, naturally aspirated engine. This unit produces around 119 bhp at 6,600 rpm and 145 Nm of torque at 4,300 rpm. Transmission options for the Honda Elevate include a 6-speed manual or a 7-step CVT. There is also an official CNG option available for the SUV. However, this is dealer-level fitment only.

Features of the Honda Elevate include Level 2 ADAS and six airbags. Additional features include touchscreen infotainment system, wireless charging, lanewatch camera, traction control, hill start assist, emergency stop signal, connected technology and more. Honda offers a standard 3 years/unlimited kilometer warranty with the Elevate, which can be extended up to seven years with a flexible warranty option of up to 10 years. Roadside assistance is also available from the date of purchase.
