New Delhi. Honda company has updated its portfolio and launched a new version of its popular SUV Elevate, which is named Honda Elevate ADV Edition. This new model is more stylish and attractive than the old version. It is at the top of the Elevate range, meaning it is its top model. To attract customers, the company has made many changes in the new model, due to which it comes with a sporty look. Let us tell you about its features and price.

Major changes have been made in the exterior design, giving it a sporty look. It has a redesigned grille, which has been given a touch of orange color. The vehicle has blacked-out roof rails, ADV badging and black finished alloy wheels with orange accents. There is orange detailing on the entire body, which makes it more attractive. Honda Cars India reduced the prices of Amaze, Elevate and City after GST reform, new prices will remain valid by December 2025, Amaze has decreased by up to Rs 1.2 lakh.

New Delhi. Honda Cars India has announced a new price of Amaze (second and third generation models), elevate and every variant of the city after the GST reform. The updated prices are now applicable to the entire model line and will remain valid by December 2025. After the GST price cut, the price of 2025 Honda Elevate Midsize SUV is now between Rs 11 lakh to Rs 16.25 lakh. The additional price of Black Edition and Ivory Enhancements is more than Rs 10,000.

Honda cars became cheaper
The price of 2025 Honda Amaze has decreased by up to Rs 1.2 lakh. Its base variant is now available for Rs 6.98 lakh and the price of top-end variants is Rs 10 lakh. The prices of 2025 Honda City sedan have been reduced by Rs 58,000. The price of petrol variants is now between Rs 11.95 lakh to Rs 16.07 lakh, while E: HeV hybrid variant is available for Rs 19.48 lakh. All prices are ex-showroom.

  • Honda Elevate is offered only with a petrol engine. It comes mated to a manual gearbox or an automatic transmission.

The Honda Elevate is offered in a single-engine option but with two transmission choices.

Honda has announced that they will be selling their Elevate SUV through Canteen Stores Department (CSD) across the country for the Indian Armed Forces. The Elevate is the third model from Honda to be sold through Canteen Stores Department as Honda is already selling the City and the Amaze.

Honda Elevate shares its underpinnings with the 5th Gen City. So, it is powered by a 1.5-litre, naturally aspirated petrol engine that produces 119 bhp of max power at 6,600 rpm and a peak torque output of 145 Nm at 4,300 rpm. It comes mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox or a CVT automatic transmission with 7-steps.

The fuel efficiency figure for the manual gearbox is 15.31 kmpl whereas the automatic transmission delivers 16.92 kmpl of fuel efficiency. The manufacturer will not sell the Elevate with a diesel engine. Instead, they will launch an all-electric version of the Elevate within the next two years.

The Elevate is currently one of the most affordable mid-size SUVs in the Indian market. It is priced between ₹11.58 lakh and ₹16.20 lakh. Both prices are ex-showroom. There are four variants on offer – SV, V, VX, and ZX. Apart from the SV variant, the automatic transmission is available in all variants.

 

Honda Elevate competes against the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara, Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder, Citroen C3 Aircross, MG Astor, Skoda Kushaq and Volkswagen Taigun.

The Elevate comes standard with features such as LED projector headlamps with Daytime Running Lamps, multi-function steering wheel, push button to start/stop engine, power adjustable ORVMs, automatic climate control, rear AC vents, PM2.5 air filter and front armrest.

The top-end variant is also equipped with Honda Sensing Technology which is essentially a suite of ADAS features. Honda offers Collision Mitigation Braking System, Adaptive Cruise Control, Lane Keeping Assist, Lead Car Departure System, Road Departure Mitigation and auto-dimming IRVM.

The Honda Elevate also comes equipped with Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS), multi-angle rearview cameras, reverse parking sensors, and more. The SUV is offered in four trims – SV, V, VX and ZX with all but the base variants.

The Elevate takes on several offerings including the Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara, Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder, Kia Seltos, Volkswagen Taigun, Skoda Kushaq and MG Astor. The model will soon face heat from the upcoming Hyundai Creta facelift, set to arrive later this month.

The Honda WR-V Field Explorer Concept will bring a more rugged look to the compact SUV, and is based on the Elevate sold in India

The special off-road spec Honda WR-V has been named the WR-V Field Explorer Concept. The concept gets a host of accessories to give it a more off-road-specific look. The teaser image reveals what Honda calls a “Tough Style” exterior. The chrome bits have been finished in gloss black along with smoked headlamps. The SUV also gets a different grille finished in all-black, three pilot lights, and yellow fog lights. The bumper gets additional black cladding and side cladding for a more muscular look.

The Honda WR-V for Japan will go on sale in March 2024 and will be exported from the automaker’s Tapukara facility

The black treatment continues on the ORVMs and roof spoiler, while the taillights appear to get the smoked look as well. A roof rail has also been added to the SUV to complete the rugged appeal. Expect to see more changes and accessories added to the concept when it is fully revealed next month.

It needs to be seen if Honda will make any changes to the mechanicals on the WR-V Field Explorer Concept. The standard WR-V announced for Japan will get the 1.5-litre petrol engine paired with only an automatic transmission. The India-spec model gets a 6-speed manual as well. The Japanese and Indian models are largely identical barring a few subtle differences on the interior including a different infotainment system on the former.

Apart from the HondaWR-V Field Explorer Concept, the company will also showcase the Accord e:HEV Sports Line and the Red Bull RB19 F1 race car at Tokyo Auto Salon 2024. The annual event will be held between January 12-14.

Honda said that the new Elevate accounted for over 50 per cent of total sales for the company in the last three months. It has also helped HCIL’s sales grow by 11 per cent between September and November year-on-year. The company also revealed that the CVT automatic remains in higher demand on the SUV.

Honda has unveiled the new-generation WR-V SUV for the Japanese market and the all-new offering is none other than the Elevate sold in India. Honda says the WR-V name stands for “Winsome Runabout Vehicle” and winsome stands for “fun” and “cheerfulness.” The company says the new SUV has been developed keeping the versatile lifestyles of customers. While both versions look visually identical, there are plenty of changes on the Japanese model to take note of on the Japanese model.

Honda WR-V Japan Elevate
The Japanese-spec Elevate gets a different touchscreen infotainment system while missing out leather inserts on the dashboard, wireless charging, and an electric sunroof

The new Honda WR-V for Japan comes with an all-black cabin and different upholstery. In contrast, the Indian version gets brown and tan colours across the interior. The leather accents on the dashboard have been skipped as well. Honda Japan is also offering five monotone shades as against seven monotone and three dual-tone shades on the Indian version.

On the feature front, the JDM-spec model gets a different touchscreen infotainment system with buttons on the right, instead of the 10-inch infotainment unit seen here. The unit does come Honda remote control that allows you to remotely access certain functions on the car. It also gets Honda ALSOK rush service for theft and mischief, navigation, and in-car Wi-Fi. However, it misses out on features like an electric sunroof and wireless charging, which are otherwise available in the Indian model.

The Japanese-spec Elevate also gets Honda Sensing bringing a suite of ADAS features like a LaneWatch camera, reverse camera, Collision mitigation brake, Adaptive cruise control, Lane keeping support System, Auto high beam, parking sensors and a whole lot more. Power on the JDM-spec model will come from the 1.5-litre naturally-aspirated i-VTEC engine that’s also available in India. The petrol motor develops 119 bhp and 145 Nm of peak torque and will be available with only the CVT automatic option. India gets the 6-speed manual transmission as well. Much like India, Japan also does not get a hybrid version of the Elevate.

Honda will release more information about the new WR-V in December with sales to begin around April 2024. The company says the new WR-V will be priced from a low 2 million Yen range (approx. ₹10.99 lakh), which is identical to the Indian version. The Honda Elevate in India is priced from ₹11 lakh, going up to ₹16 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). The SUV takes on the Volkswagen Taigun, Skoda Kushaq, Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara, Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder, MG Astor and the like in the segment.

Honda Cars India has registered a marginal rise in its sales in August with one of the smallest fleet any carmaker has in India. With the help of its two sedans – the fifth generation City and the sub-compact Amaze, the carmaker has been able to deliver 7,880 units last month. The Japanese auto giant’s sales in India has grown by one per cent compared to the same month last year. The carmaker is now gearing up to launch the Elevate compact SUV, its third model in India, on Monday (September 4).

City and Amaze sedans hold Honda Cars’ sales in India steady with marginal growth in August.

Honda’s sales last month is barely 31 units more than the carmaker sold in August last year. However, the carmaker has clocked a decent jump in sales compared to the previous month. In July this year, Honda had clocked 4,864 units. The Japanese carmaker attributed the rise to growing demands ahead of festive season. “The festive demand has been strong and continues to show good momentum. The celebratory fervour, which began with Onam in southern India, will extend to the rest of the markets as we move towards the peak of festivities in the coming months,” Yuichi Murata, Director Marketing and Sales at Honda Cars India, said.

Meanwhile, Honda’s export has dropped to 2,189 units against 2,356 units in August 2022, a decline of around seven per cent.

Honda is gearing up to add a compact SUV in its sedan-only lineup on September 4 when it officially launches the Elevate. Honda Cars has already received good response on bookings for the SUV. Bookings were opened on July 3 for ₹5,000. The deliveries are expected to begin soon after it is launched.

Honda Elevate SUV is expected to launch in India in September. The bookings for the Elevate SUV was opened in July by the carmaker. Honda Elevate SUV made its official debut in June. In terms of size, the Honda Elevate SUV is bigger than Hyundai Creta. It stands 4,312 mm in length, 1,790 mm in width and 1,650 mm in height along with 220 mm of ground clearance, which is around 30 mm more than the Korean rival. The Elevate also offers 458 litres of boot space.

Honda Elevate will also become the latest compact SUV to offer ADAS through its Honda Sensing technology, also used in City. In fact, the Elevate SUV is going to be the only model in India to be offered with ADAS functionality even in the manual variants.
