Maruti Suzuki will launch the new midsize SUV on 3 September, which will compete with Hyundai Creta. Its codename is Y17 and will be sold from the Arena showrooms. It will have three engine options.

This new Creta will come with rivals Maruti Grand Vitara and Toyota Hyurore -like powertrain options. The Maruti SUV will have a 1.5-liter Natural aspirescated petrol engine, which will be paired with a 5-speed manual or 6-speed torque converter automatic. In petrol-automatic form, it will also be available with AWD. There will be a front-wheel drive in the rest of the range. Apart from this, it will have an 88hp CNG option and 116HP petrol-electric hybrid in the top model.
