400km range and 9 seats! Hyundai unveils its most powerful EV

New Delhi. Hyundai Motor Company has officially introduced its Staria Electric at the Brussels Motor Show. Its global debut reflects the company's ambitious plans to make large-size electric vehicles practical and affordable, especially in markets where MPVs are the preferred choice for everyday travel. It has a lithium-ion battery pack of 84 kWh. The biggest thing is that this is a 9 seater car. This means that 9 people can easily fit in it together and enjoy a comfortable ride.

Power and Performance
It works with a front-mounted electric motor, which gives maximum power of 218 PS and peak torque of 350 Nm. Power is routed to the front wheels and the electric drivetrain has been tuned for refinement, giving consistent power delivery in varying driving conditions, Hyundai says.

800-volt electrical architecture
The most striking technical feature of Staria Electric is its 800-volt electrical architecture, which provides low thermal stress with fast energy flow, allowing repeated fast charging without any impact on efficiency. In better DC charging conditions, the battery can be charged from 10 to 80 percent in just 20 minutes.

11 kW ac charger
For everyday use, it has an 11 kW AC charger, so that charging can be done easily at home or office. Hyundai estimates that the WLTP driving range will be up to 400 km on a single charge. The electric layout results in a flat floor and long wheelbase, making the cabin spacious with good headroom and legroom in all rows.

Perfect for big family
Large windows, low belt-line and high roofline bring natural light into the cabin, making the interior feel lounge-like. Hyundai will offer Staria Electric in two seating configurations to meet different needs. The seven-seater luxury variant will attract private owners and lifestyle buyers, while the nine-seater wagon version is for larger families, group travel and shuttle operations.

Adaptable cargo space
Both variants have adaptable cargo space, wide sliding doors and large tailgate opening, which improves accessibility. From the outside, the Staria Electric retains the model's signature one-curve silhouette, which is adorned with electric-specific styling elements. The traditional air intake has been replaced by a closed-off front facia, which makes the MPV look more clean and aerodynamic.

New Delhi. Hyundai Motor Company has introduced the Staria Electric at the Brussels Motor Show, which is a major change in the brand's multi-purpose vehicle lineup. Launched as Hyundai's flagship MPV, the Staria Electric combines zero emission mobility with a people-centric design philosophy. It will be available for sale in Korea and Europe in the first half of 2026, after which it will be launched in other markets as well.

exterior design
Staria Electric reflects Hyundai's “inside-out” design approach, with the exterior designed keeping cabin comfort and space in mind. This MPV has a long body, low beltline and large mirrors, due to which visibility is good and the interior environment feels open and comfortable. The electric vehicle-specific closed front fascia, clean surfaces and continuous horizontal light bands reinforce its electric identity. Wide sliding doors and large rear tailgate ensure easy access for everyday urban use, family trips or commercial shuttle service. The closed grille also improves aerodynamic efficiency.

Powertrain: High-Efficiency 800V Architecture At the heart of the Staria Electric is an 84 kWh battery, mated to a 218bhp front-mounted electric motor. Its advanced 800-volt EV platform, rarely seen in the MPV segment, supports high power flow and reduces heat buildup, enabling repeated ultra-fast charging. Hyundai estimates that the WLTP driving range will be around 400 kilometers.

Ultra-fast charging capability
Hyundai's advanced 800V system allows the Staria Electric to charge from 10% to 80% in just 20 minutes in ideal DC fast-charging conditions. For everyday use, this MPV supports 11kW AC home charging. Heated charging port ensures reliable operation even in cold weather.

interior design
Staria Electric's interior is light, spacious and comfortable, designed keeping in mind convenience and flexibility. Flat floors, wide spaces and large windows create a lounge-like atmosphere, enhanced by soft lighting and intuitive ergonomics. The Staria Electric has two 12.3-inch displays, one for the instrument cluster and the other for infotainment. Physical buttons are also provided for essential functions for ease of driving.
