Three new 5-seater SUVs will be launched in India by October 2025: Maruti Escudo, New Jane Hyundai Venue and Tata Sierra EV. These will be available in petrol, diesel, hybrid and electric options.

Maruti Escudo
Maruti's new midsize SUV is scheduled to be launched on 3 September 2025. Although its official name has not been announced yet, it is being known as Maruti Escudo. It will be based on the Grand Vitara and will be especially sold through the Arena dealership network. According to the leaked information, Maruti Escudo will be the first Maruti Suzuki with Dolby Atmos technology and level-2 ADAS suit in India. It will also get powered tailgate and 4WD (four-wheel drive) system. Like the Grand Vitara, the new Maruti Midsize SUV will come with three engine options – 1.5L petrol, 1.5L hybrid and CNG.

The new generation Hyundai Venue third generation Hyundai Venue has been seen several times in Camoflaz, which has revealed some design changes. The compact SUV is expected to significantly styling and more premium interior, while current 1.2L petrol, 1.0L turbo petrol and 1.5L diesel engines will remain intact. Inside, it is expected to get facilities like large touchscreen, new switchgear on center console and ventilated front seats, 360-degree camera and updated ADAS suit.
Tata Sierra EV
The Tata Sierra EV Tata Motors Sierra is fully prepared to re -introduce the name of Sierra with new designs, modern interior and features and many powertrain options. Sierra will come to the showroom during the Diwali season of EV 2025, while its ICE-Paward version is expected to be launched in early 2026. This can take 65kwh and 75kwh LFP battery pack from Tata Harrier EV. High trims can be offered with QWD (quad wheel drive) system option.
