New Delhi. October 2025 proved to be very beneficial for the Indian automobile industry, as carmakers like Maruti Suzuki, Tata, Mahindra and Kia achieved their best sales figures this month. New GST reforms and strong festive season demand took the overall sales to 4,66,814 units, which was 3,97,947 units in the same month last year.

Nexon captures number 1
In the SUV segment, Tata Nexon (ICE + EV) maintained the top spot in the charts with total sales of 22,083 units, up from 14,759 units in October 2024, registering a 50% annual growth. It was also the best selling car of last month, followed by Maruti Dezire, Ertiga and WagonR.

Creta slipped to second place
With total sales of 18,381 units, Hyundai Creta retained the second position, witnessing a positive growth of 5 percent. These figures include ICE-powered Creta, Creta N Line and Creta Electric variants. Mahindra Scorpio took the third position among the top selling SUVs in October 2025, with 17,880 units shipped to dealers across the country. It recorded 14 percent annual growth.

Maruti Suzuki's Ford Focus took the fourth position with total sales of 17,003 units, leaving behind the Tata Punch. This compact crossover registered 4 percent annual growth. Tata Punch slipped to fifth place with total sales of 16,810 units as against 15,740 units last year, registering 7 percent annual growth.

Mahindra Bolero ranked sixth among the top selling SUVs in October 2025, registering 46 percent annual growth. Meanwhile, the recently launched Maruti Victoris made its debut in the list of top 10 best-selling SUVs of the month. The midsize SUV recorded total sales of 13,496 units, leaving behind the Kia Sonet (seventh), Mahindra 3XO (eighth), Maruti Brezza (ninth) and Mahindra Thar (tenth).

Crea dominance
Talking about the SUV, Hyundai Creta maintained dominance in the sales chart with the sale of 15,924 units, while the number was 16,762 in the same month last year, which shows a 5% decline. Tata Nexon finished second with a total sales of 14,004 units, leaving Brezza behind.

Maruti Brezza was the third best selling SUV in August 2025 with a sale of 13,622 units. However, this subscribe SUV saw a significant decline of 29% year-on-year.

Facilities like ventilated front seats, large display screen, panoramic sunroof and Adas (Advanced Driver Assistance System) may be part of the updated feature kit. Some design elements will be taken from Creta and Alkazar in 2025 Hyundai Venue. The new-jane model will be available with current 1.0L turbo, 1.2L natural aspirated petrol and 1.5L diesel engine options.

Tata Panch facelift
In October 2025, both ICE-quarters Tata Panch and Panch EV are going to get midlife updates. Spy images suggest that the updated punch will have a newly designed front grille, thin headlamps, new LED DRL signature and redesigned front bumper. New designed alloy wheels can also be found in it. A new two-spoke steering wheel, large touchscreen, fully digital instrument cluster and touch-based HVAC control panels are expected to be taken from the recently launched ultraz facelift at the compact SUV. 2025 Tata Panch will retain the existing engine setup.

Brezza and Scorpio
