Tata Punch EV Facelift
First of all let's talk about Tata Punch EV facelift. This electric micro SUV was launched in February 2026, with a starting price of Rs 9.69 lakh. Tata Motors has updated it on the Acti.EV platform, which includes larger battery options (35 kWh and 40 kWh), up from the earlier 25 kWh and 30 kWh. This has improved the range and also made the charging speed faster, with fast charging of up to 65 kW providing 10 to 80 percent charge in just 30 minutes.
The company has decided to sell it with BaaS scheme at a starting ex-showroom price of only Rs 6.49 lakh. The variants include Smart, Smart Plus, Adventure, Empowered and Empowered Plus S. The Adventure variant lacks the dual-tone option with the larger battery pack, but has better ride quality, refinement and braking performance. Deliveries are going to start soon and it presents a strong contender in the budget EV segment.
Maruti Suzuki e Vitara
The next car is Maruti Suzuki E Vitara, which is Maruti's first electric SUV and is scheduled to be launched on 17 February 2026. Its price ranges from Rs 15.99 lakh to Rs 19.79 lakh (ex-showroom) including battery, while it starts from Rs 10.99 lakh with the Battery-as-a-Service (BaaS) scheme, where battery rental is Rs 3.99 to Rs 4.39 per kilometre. It gets features like ADAS with 7 airbags.
The variants are Delta, Zeta and Alpha, with 49 kWh and 61 kWh battery packs, giving an ARAI range of up to 543 km. Delivery has started, but due to production constraints there is a waiting period of up to 2 months. This SUV is cheaper than its rivals and strengthens Maruti's entry into the EV segment.
Nissan Gravite
Nissan Gravit is a 7-seater MPV, launched on 17 February 2026 at an introductory price of Rs 5.65 lakh. It is based on Renault Triber and is manufactured in Chennai. Variants include Vizia, Ascenta, N-Connecta and Tecna. The N-Connecta variant comes with premium features like smart comfort and storage, keeping the price below Rs 8 lakh. It is part of Nissan's resurgence in India, offering versatile and stylish options for families.
Volkswagen Tayron R-Line
The price of Volkswagen Taron R-Line was revealed in February 2026, although it was unveiled in January. This 7-seater SUV is a larger version of Tiguan, which comes with a sporty design and R-Line package. It has spacious interiors, daily usability and appeal for enthusiasts. The styling is rounded and sporty, which provides the customer with the performance of a family car. You can buy it at a starting ex-showroom price of only Rs 46.99 lakh.
BMW X3 30 xDrive M Sport Pro
BMW X3 30 xDrive M Sport Pro launched on 16 February 2026, ex-showroom price of Rs 74.50 lakh. It has a 2.0-litre turbo-petrol engine with 258 hp and 400 Nm torque, which comes with 20-inch wheels and Brooklyn Gray color option. It is locally produced and competes with rivals like Mercedes GLC, Audi Q5. It has a great blend of performance and luxury.
