But now another Indian company has taken away its number 2 crown from Hyundai and that company is Mahindra. Mahindra has surpassed Hyundai in February 2025 in the case of sale.
In February 2025, Maruti Suzuki has once again made a strong hold in the Indian automobile market, in which the company has sold 1,60,791 units. This figure was 1,60,271 units in 2024 last year, which is almost the same. This shows that Maruti Suzuki has not increased its sales, but the company has kept its market strong.
Mahindra became number 2
Mahindra has also increased its sale a lot, in which the company has sold 50,420 units. This figure is 8,019 units higher than last year. Mahindra has captured the second position in the vehicles cell, leaving both Hyundai and Tata behind.
Hyundai's sale decreased
Hyundai sales have decreased by 4.92 percent, in which the company has sold 47,727 units. The company has increased the export of its vehicles by 6.8 per cent, but despite this, the company has lost 2.93 per cent this year as compared to last year. There has been a loss of 9 per cent in Tata sales, in which the company has sold 46,435 units. Tata has also suffered losses in the cell of electric vehicles, which is 23 percent. But Tata has gained an edge in vehicles exports, which is 376 units more than last year. Thus, Maruti Suzuki and Mahindra have made their strong hold in the Indian automobile market in February 2025, while Hyundai and Tata have suffered losses.
