This SUV is riding on 'Vijay Rath' in India, all from Nexon to Thar

New Delhi. July 2025 was not a special month for the Indian automobile industry. A total of 3,46,669 units were sold last month, while in July 2024 the number was 3,43,026. Maruti Suzuki and Mahindra & Mahindra maintained their lead in the market, while Hyundai and Tata Motors' annual cells saw a decline of 10.3% and 11.6% respectively. Let us know which SUVs got the most love of customers in July.

Hyundai Creta
In July too, SUV vehicles remained the first choice of buyers, in which Hyundai Creta achieved the top spot. It recorded sales of 16,898 units, which was slightly less than 17,350 units in the same month of last year. Despite this slight decline, it was ahead of Maruti Brezza and Mahindra Scorpio (Scorpio N + Scorpio Classic), who finished second and third respectively.

Brezza and Scorpio
In July 2025, Maruti Suzuki sold 14,065 units of Brezza and Mahindra sold 13,747 units of Scorpio. While the annual cell of Brezza declined by 4 percent, Scorpio recorded 12 percent growth.

Maruti Fronx

Maruti Suzuki's Fronx was the fourth best -selling SUV, which sales 12,872 units, while in July 2024 the number was 10,925 units, which led to an impressive annual annual growth of 18 percent.

Nexon and punch
The list of the top 10 SUVs has the next Tata Nexon and Panch, which had 12,825 and 10,785 units respectively. However, sales of both models were much lower than the same month of last year.

Mahindra Thar

With the sale of 9,845 units, Mahindra Thar was the seventh best -selling SUV in July 2025. This off-road SUV recorded an important annual growth of 125 percent.

The eighth, ninth and tenth place was achieved by Toyota Hyroider Midsize SUV, Hyundai Venue and Kiya Sonnet Compact SUV respectively. The TKM sold 8,814 units of Hyroider, which increased from 7,419 units to 19% annual growth in July 2024. At the same time, the annual cell of Venue and Sonnet declined by 9 percent and 19 percent respectively.
