Many new SUVs are going to be launched in the Indian market. While several new models will increase the number of sub-4 meter SUVs, some larger 7-seater SUVs will also be introduced. In these models, consumers will get the option of internal combustion engine and electric powertrain. Many of these models are updated versions of existing models, while some will be completely new models. Here we are giving information about all this.
The Volkswagen Tyron R-Line is the brand's flagship SUV and will be positioned above the Tiguan R-Line SUV. It will take the brand into the premium three-row SUV segment with the aggressive styling that comes with the R-Line badge. It will be launched in the country as CKD and is likely to get a 2.0-litre turbo-petrol engine. This engine will generate power of 204 HP and peak torque of 320 Nm. Its power will be transferred to the all-wheel drive setup through a seven-speed DCT.
The MG Majester was first showcased at the 2025 Bharat Mobility Global Expo. Now the brand is going to launch this SUV in the country on 12th February. This model can replace Gloster in the automaker's lineup and will also have off-road capabilities along with many features. It is likely to get a 2.0-litre diesel engine, which will produce 210 HP of power and 478 Nm of peak torque, along with an 8-speed automatic transmission.

Nissan is also going to launch Gravit MPV along with Tekton SUV in the Indian market. After this, the brand will also launch a new seven-seater SUV based on its CMF-B platform in the country. This vehicle will be launched by the end of the year and is part of the brand's strategy to strengthen its hold in the market.
Mahindra launched Scorpio N in the Indian market in 2022. Since then this SUV has been selling well for the brand and now its facelift is about to come. The test mule of this model has been seen several times during testing and no major changes in the design are expected. Only engine and transmission options of the current model can be found in it.
After the launch of the new generation Duster in India, Renault can also launch its seven-seater version Borel in the Indian market. This SUV will be based on the same platform as Duster, but it will have some unique design elements and the powertrain will also remain the same. Features like Level 2 ADAS, 360-degree camera can be found in it. Apart from this, it will strengthen the brand's hold in a new segment.
