Jaguar Land Rover called back 1.2 lakh vehicles, 'dangerous' is the reason
New Delhi. Jaguar Land Rover has recently been very much discussed in the news. Indian -owned British car manufacturer is again in the headlines and this time not due to good reason. According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), the company has recalled more than 121,500 vehicles in the US.

Units between 2014 and 2017
According to the notification issued by NHTSA, Safety Regulators have identified a possible suspension default at the Range Rover and Range Rover Sport SUV created between 2014 and 2017. According to the company, the front suspension can cause a crack in the upper copying joint, which can make the suspension arm separate.

91,856 units investigated

In the US, Range Rover was called by Jaguar Land Rover. Suspension imitations connect the front wheels with elements like brake assembly. In June, NHTSA launched an initial investigation in 91,856 Jaguar Land Rover vehicles, especially 2014-2017 Range Rover Sport models. Now this recall has moved beyond vehicles involved in that initial investigation. However, there is no major problem in seeing this problem, its result can be fatal. In affected vehicles, these aluminum parts may increase cracks over time. Such cracks can weaken steering and braking stability, which increases the risk of accident.

Will get free service
Land rover dealers in the US will now analyze the front suspension imitations and will stabilize a retaining bracket or change the copy as per the requirement, and it will be offered for service free. The affected vehicle owners will be informed via email by 30 September 2025. They can also contact through the company's toll free number. Land rover numbers for this recall are D019, N759, D041, and D027.

India-Uk Free Trade Agreement: India-UK Free Trade Agreement will reduce the prices of luxury cars. Jaguar, Land Rover, Rolls-Royce, Bentley, Aston Martin and McLaren will benefit. Triumph bikes will also be cheaper.

Highlights

  • The Indo-UK Free Trade Agreement will make luxury cars cheaper.
  • The prices of Jaguar, Land Rover, Rolls-Royce, Bentley will decrease.
  • The prices of Triumph bikes will also be lower.
New Delhi. Prime Minister Narendra Modi is to sign the historic India-UK Free Trade Agreement in London, which aims to strengthen economic relations between the two countries and promote employment. The biggest advantage from this FTA will be to luxury car manufacturers like Jaguar, Land Rover, Rolls-Royce, Bentley, Aston Martin and McLaren. The skyrocketing prices of these vehicles will fall as India will reduce import duty from 100% to 10%.

Luxury car buyers ban booking
During this time many luxury car buyers have banned booking. Dealerships are disappointed because it is still not clear when and how these new low fees will apply. There are almost all major luxury brands available in the Indian automobile market, including Jaguar and Land Rover, McLaren, Bentley and Rolls-Royce owned by Tata Motors. Famous sports car manufacturer McLaren made his debut in India in 2022 and introduced his entire portfolio. Imagine buying McLaren 750s worth Rs 5.91 crore for less than Rs 3 crore.

6 crore car in 3 crore

Under the new FTA, many Indian car lovers can now stop dreaming and the plan to buy ultra-lolutions SUVs like Bentley Bentayga and Rolls-Royce Culinan is now more realistic, with the current price of Rs 6 crore and Rs 12 crore respectively, which is about Rs 3 crore and Rs 6 crore respectively. FTA will also introduce a quota system that will be confined that tax cuts will be limited to some vehicles, and it will be different for petrol-diesel electric vehicles.

Triumph bikes will also be cheap
Triumph Motorcycles have been in India for a long time, and its premium range is made in the UK. Due to being imported as CBU (fully built units), the iconic motorcycles like Rockt 3 Storm and Adv, Tiger 1200 are priced at Rs 22.49 lakh and Rs 19.39 lakh respectively. There is good news for motorcycle lovers, as FTA will also reduce these high prices.

Tata’s Jaguar aims to bounce back from mediocrity with a shock design. Know more

Tata’s Jaguar aims to bounce back from mediocrity with a shock design. Know more

Tata Motors-owned British luxury car brand Jaguar aims to bounce back from mediocrity. To achieve that target, the automaker plans to tap rich American buyers with polarizing designs. Auto News has reported that the automaker is targeting 20 million millionaires in the US who could be its potential customers in an attempt to salvage the brand. Jaguar Land Rover CEO Adrian Mardell believes that chasing volume has impacted the brand negatively and in a revised strategy, the company aims to change that situation.

The report has quoted Mardell saying that Jaguar will aim for a lower volume and higher price positioning, which will be the right thing to do for the company. This would make the Jaguar cars more elusively premium, raising the bar. He pointed to the fact that during the 1990s, Jaguar was highly successful in the North American market, when its cars were more expensive and targeted a wealthier demographic than the brand has been chasing for the last 20 years.

The JLR chief further conceded that the automaker’s strategy to chase volume during the previous two decades, first under Ford and then Tata Motors, has resulted in it losing touch with the wealthy car buyer community. He also admitted that it is a lot of work to build that brand equity. In order to bring back the luxury glory to the brand, Jaguar is focusing on fearless designs, which would be conceived to shock and reengage wealthy buyers.

The auto company’s design chief Gerry McGovern said that the brand will not worry about being loved by everybody. “What we will not worry about is being loved by everybody, because that is the kiss of death,” he said further adding that this is what has put Jaguar in the situation it is in today, which is with no equity whatsoever.
