Kia India performed brilliantly in January 2026 and recorded total sales of 27,603 units. This figure shows an annual growth of 10.3% compared to 25,025 units in January 2025 last year. On a month-on-month (MoM) basis, there is a strong growth of 47.9% from 18,659 units in December 2025, indicating a strong recovery after the year-end slowdown.

The main reason for this success is the positive response received by the New Kia Seltos. The new Seltos was launched recently. It has won the hearts of the customers. It holds a strong position in the mid-size SUV segment and is contributing significantly to Kia's domestic sales. The new Seltos includes modern design, premium features, advanced engine options and better technology like 30-inch dashboard display and ADAS.

Demand for Sonet with Seltos

Apart from Seltos, Sonet is also playing an important role in the sales of the company. Both the models together cover a major part of Kia's total volume. This figure represents an impressive growth of 54 percent year-on-year compared to 2,830 Seltos sold in December 2024. The company had recently updated Seltos and its effect is also visible in the sales report.

Kia Seltos: price and features

2026 Kia Seltos can be purchased in the Indian car market at a starting ex-showroom price of only ₹ 10,99,000. After the recent update, the design of this SUV has changed a lot and new features have also been added. The company sells it with premium features like dual-pane panoramic sunroof, level-2 ADAS, dual 10.25-inch and 12.3-inch panoramic displays, Bose 8-speaker sound system, ventilated front seats, 64-color ambient lighting and wireless charging.

Engine options available are 1.5L naturally aspirated petrol (113 bhp, 144 Nm), 1.5L turbo petrol (158 bhp, 253 Nm) and 1.5L diesel (114 bhp, 250 Nm). Talking about mileage (ARAI), it is capable of giving fuel efficiency of 17-17.9 kmpl in petrol and 19.1-20.7 kmpl in diesel.

Kia Cars

Kia Carens is at number two in the list. It got a total of 3,681 new customers last month. This figure represents an impressive growth of 40 percent year-on-year compared to the total 2,626 units sold in December 2024.

Kia Syros

Kia Sciros is at third place in terms of sales. It has got 1,116 new customers last month. This figure represents almost double the monthly increase compared to the total 554 units sold in November 2025.

Kia Sonet

There has been a huge increase in the sales of Sonet. Last month, this small SUV got a total of 9,418 customers. This figure represents a spectacular increase of 182 percent year-on-year compared to the total 3,337 units sold in December 2024.

Kia Carnival

The next number is Kia Carnival, it got the least number of customers. Only 75 units were sold in December 2025. This figure represents a 27 percent year-on-year decline compared to the total 103 Carnivals sold in December 2024. Apart from this, Kia EV6 and EV9 did not find a single customer last month.
