New Delhi. The next-generation Kia Seltos will go on sale in India tomorrow (January 2, 2026) with its official price announced. Booking of this SUV has already started across the country and the delivery will start from mid-January. The price of the new 2026 Kia Seltos will be slightly higher than the current model, with the top variant expected to be priced around Rs 20 lakh (ex-showroom). However, the price of the entry-level variant may remain close to the current base model, whose starting price is Rs 10.79 lakh (ex-showroom).
Key Features Talking about the interior, the new Kia Seltos 2026 has a triple screen setup, which includes a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system, 12.3-inch driver display and 5-inch climate control display. Many advanced features are also available in SUV –

Design Highlights The design of the 2026 Kia Seltos, built on the new K3 platform, is inspired by the new Kia Telluride. It has Kia's 'Tiger Face' grille, LED headlamps, multiple LED DRLs, faux silver skid plate with gloss black elements, 18-inch alloy wheels, gloss-black wheel arches and LED tail lamps. This SUV is the longest in its segment and has the second longest wheelbase.

The new Kia Seltos 2026 has 1.5 liter naturally aspirated petrol (115bhp/144Nm), 1.5 liter turbo petrol (160bhp/253Nm) and 1.5 liter diesel (116bhp/250Nm) engine options. For transmission, options are 6-speed manual, 6-speed torque converter automatic, CVT automatic, IMT (clutchless manual transmission) and 7-speed DCT automatic.

Dimensions and Design Compared to the current generation, the new 2026 Kia Seltos is 95mm longer, 30mm wider and 10mm shorter. Its wheelbase has been increased by 80mm. Now the length of the SUV is 4460mm, width is 1830mm and height is 1635mm, while the wheelbase is 2690mm. The design of the next-gen Seltos is inspired by the Kia Telluride, with the new grille and vertical gun-metal accents being the highlights. The SUV gets new squarish headlamps, revised bumper with black cladding, LED DRL signature, body-color surround accents with fog lamps, new flush-fitting door handles, new 18-inch alloy wheels and inverted L-shaped LED taillamps.
Premium Features On the interior, the new Kia Seltos 2026 features a panoramic display setup, which includes a 12.3-inch infotainment system, 12.3-inch instrument cluster and a 5.0-inch HVAC display. The base trim is also equipped with a lot of features, while features like ventilated front seats, wireless charger, 360 degree camera, connected technology, powered driver seat with memory function, dual-tone leather upholstery and level 2 ADAS will be available in the top-end trim.
Engine options will remain the same There has been no change in engine options. This includes 1.5L naturally aspirated petrol with power of 115bhp, 1.5L turbo petrol with 160bhp and 1.5L diesel engine with 116bhp. The NA petrol unit is available with a 6-speed manual and a CVT automatic, the turbo-petrol engine comes with a 6-speed iMT or a 7-speed DCT automatic transmission. The diesel engine is available with 6-speed manual and 6-speed torque converter automatic gearbox.

Kia has unveiled the all-new 2026 Seltos in India, with Hyderabad as the global stage for the SUV's world premiere. The 2026 model features a generational update that brings a major design refresh along with a more premium cabin along with a new tech suite, making it the South Korean carmaker's most important launch of the year. The new Kia Seltos will open for booking at midnight on December 11, 2025, ahead of the official launch on January 2, 2026.
The new Seltos brings a strong visual identity to the new generation, while becoming significantly larger than the outgoing model. Its front fascia has been revised with a wider grille flanked by vertically placed LED DRLs and redesigned LED headlamps. The SUV sports flush-fitting door handles, which aligns with the latest design direction for Kia's global portfolio. It rides on new 18-inch alloy wheels and reveals a new connected taillamp assembly at the rear along with revised front and rear bumpers with cosmetic skid plates. Additional design elements include a revised roof spoiler with an integrated stop lamp, a hidden rear wiper and a shark fin antenna.
Kia also showcased a matte red paint option with a contrasting black roof, highlighting the more assertive stance of the SUV. Manufacturing of the Seltos continues at Kia's Anantapur plant, with design and development inputs contributed by the brand's Indian R&D team.

Redesigned cabin with dual-screen layout
The new generation 2026 Kia Seltos features a completely redesigned cabin layout with a dual-screen cockpit and advanced premium materials.
Kia has completely revamped the interior of the new Seltos, with the changes moving the cabin towards a more modern, feature-rich feel. The SUV adopts a new floating 30-inch Trinity Panoramic Display panel for infotainment and digital cluster with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. The driver gets a new steering wheel design, refreshed switchgear and a head-up display, while the rest of the interior benefits from ambient lighting, dual-zone climate control and a dual-pane panoramic sunroof. The rear seats fold flat into a two-row configuration, helping to increase boot capacity to 447 litres.

The 2026 Kia Seltos offers a wide range of safety features, starting with six airbags, including front, side and curtain units. The suite also includes all-wheel disc brakes, ABS, ESC, VSM and brake assist as well as hill-start assist, downhill brake control and rollover sensor for better stability in different terrain conditions. The cabin benefits from ISOFIX rear anchors, three-point seatbelts for all occupants with reminder, child lock function and speed-sensing door locks with impact-sensing auto unlock.
The package adds a rear-view camera with dynamic guidelines, rear parking sensors, a highline tire pressure monitor, auto headlamps and a rear occupant alert system. Level-2 ADAS is offered on the top-spec HTX(A) and GTX(A) variants, which include features like collision avoidance assist and warning, lane driving assistance, 360-degree camera and blind-spot monitoring.

The 2026 Kia Seltos will continue to offer the familiar trio of engines: 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol, 1.5-litre turbo-petrol and 1.5-litre turbo-diesel. Transmission options include manual, iMT, iVT, DCT and a 6-speed torque converter for the diesel.
For 2026, the Seltos gets three traction modes – Snow, Mud and Sand. These alter traction control and drivetrain behavior based on surface conditions, increasing the SUV's usability in different terrains.
Six years after the first-generation Seltos established Kia's reputation in the Indian market, the 2026 model comes with a rugged, aggressive design and a tech-packed cabin. Full version and pricing details will be revealed closer to January 2 as Kia prepares to fully launch the second generation of its popular mid-size SUV in India.
