682 KM range, sunroof and ADAS! This company is selling a new electric SUV every 10 minutes

Mahindra is doing great work in the Indian electric car market. The company's electric origin SUV series – BE 6, XEV 9e and XEV 9S have crossed the total sales mark of 50,000 units. This achievement has been achieved in just one year since the start of deliveries, which reflects Mahindra's rapid growth in the Indian Electric Vehicle (EV) market. BE 6e and XEV 9e, launched in November 2024, received an excellent response from the market.

Their delivery started from March 2025. In the first seven months alone, both these models recorded sales of more than 30,000 units, which means on an average one vehicle was sold every 10 minutes. Now after the inclusion of XEV 9S, this figure has reached 50,000. This series has covered a distance of more than 32 crore kilometers so far, which proves the reliability and real-world performance of these vehicles.

Mahindra BE6

BE 6 is a stylish and sporty electric SUV, whose price starts at ₹ 18.90 lakh. It is available with 59 kWh and 79 kWh battery packs and gives a range of up to 682 kilometers. It has features like AI-powered technology, Dolby Atmos sound system, ultra-fast charging and premium interior. It is proving to be an attractive option for young buyers and performance lovers.

Mahindra XEV 9e

XEV 9e has been placed in the premium segment, with a starting price of ₹ 21.90 lakh. This is an electric SUV with coupe-style design, which offers an excellent combination of luxury, technology and range. At the same time, XEV 9S is Mahindra's first 7-seater electric SUV, which is specially designed for family users. In this, the focus has been on more space, comfort and practicality.

success story

There are many reasons behind the success of these vehicles. Almost 80% of the buyers are buying electric vehicles for the first time, which shows that Mahindra has played an important role in making the EV segment mainstream. Many customers are driving more than 1,000 kilometers a month and some vehicles have crossed the 50,000 kilometer mark. Their performance has been excellent even in extreme weather conditions.

Mahindra has invested heavily on these models. The company claims that these vehicles are made on global standards and are perfect for Indian roads. Their specialties are 5-star B-NCAP safety rating, advanced software and fast charging network. This milestone is not just a number for Mahindra, but a sign of its strong hold in the Indian EV market.

The company is now working on more variants, better charging infrastructure and export plans. If this pace continues, Mahindra may soon join the top EV makers of the country. Overall, the BE 6, XEV 9e and XEV 9S prove that Indian consumers are now taking electric mobility seriously.

Mercedes-Benz has updated its flagship electric SUV, the EQS, for 2026 in India. Available in two versions, the five-seat EQS 450 and seven-seat EQS 580, the EQS is not about dramatic design changes this time, but about refining what is already doing well. Here are five things that show why the 2026 EQS still makes sense.

1. Flagship Positioning

The EQS remains the most expensive and most advanced electric SUV from Mercedes-Benz in India. With prices starting from Going up to Rs 1.34 crore (ex-showroom) for the EQS 450 At Rs 1.48 crore for the EQS 580, it clearly sits above the rest of the brand's EV lineup. In simple words, this is a no-compromise electric SUV from Mercedes.

2. Range

Driving range is still one of the EQS's strongest cards. The EQS 450 is estimated to go 775 km on a single charge, while the EQS 580 goes a step further and claims a range of 809 km. Both use the same 122 kWh battery pack, and while real-world numbers will be lower, these figures put the EQS among the longest-range electric SUVs on sale in India.

3. Strong performance with all-wheel drive

The EQS doesn't scream about performance, but it has plenty of it. The EQS 450 produces 355 bhp and 800 Nm of torque, good for a 0-100 km/h time of 6.2 seconds. The EQS 580 takes things further with 536 bhp and 858 Nm, reducing that speed to 4.8 seconds. Both versions have 4MATIC all-wheel drive as standard and a top speed limited to 210 km/h.

4. Fast-charging capability and Airmatic

Mercedes has paired the larger battery with 200kW DC fast-charging support, which allows charging from 10 to 80 percent in a claimed 31 minutes under ideal conditions. Both variants come with AIRMATIC air suspension as standard, which plays a big role in making the EQS feel more comfortable and controlled, especially on long journeys.

5. Extended feature list for 2026

For 2026, Mercedes has made changes that owners will really notice. The AMG Line exterior package, previously limited to the EQS 580, is now available on the EQS 450 as well. Rear seat ventilation, which was previously exclusive to the top variant, has also been reduced. Rear passengers now get an MBUX tablet to control comfort and infotainment, cementing the EQS's focus on driving as well as driving.

It can be equipped with Mercedes' massive MBUX HyperScreen: a seamless curved display that spans multiple screens for driver, central and passenger functions under a glass surface. The interface uses Mercedes' “layer zero” concept, which shows key functions up front so you don't need to dig through menus, and it can personalize suggestions using built-in AI.

New Delhi. Tesla has quietly upgraded the India-spec Model Y Long Range RWD, increasing its WLTP-approved range by 39 km to 661 km. This change is reportedly due to the larger 84.2kWh battery pack, up from the previous 78.1kWh unit, while the base standard RWD variant's 64kWh battery and claimed range of 500km remain unchanged.

100 speed in 5 seconds

Since its launch in India in July 2025, Tesla has offered the Model Y in two trims – Standard RWD and Long Range RWD. The Long Range variant, designed for drivers seeking maximum range and performance, now comes with an upgraded 84.2kWh battery, giving it a range of 661 km on a single charge as per WLTP standards. Despite the increase in battery capacity, the rear-axle-mounted electric motor remains the same, helping it accelerate from 0-100 kmph in just 5.6 seconds.

No change in standard trim
The standard RWD trim, which is aimed at entry-level EV buyers, still comes with its 64kWh battery with a WLTP range of 500 km, accelerating to 100 kmph in 5.9 seconds.

price did not increase
Tesla has not increased prices with this update. The standard RWD is priced at Rs 59.89 lakh, while the Long Range RWD is priced at Rs 67.89 lakh (ex-showroom). All other features of the Model Y, from its sleek exterior design to the feature-loaded cabin, remain the same.

Performance and charging
Both variants are single-motor rear-wheel drive, with top speed capped at 201 kmph. Tesla's super-fast DC charging technology allows for faster charging, with the Long Range variant adding 267 km in just 15 minutes under ideal conditions. The standard variant can cover a distance of 238 km in the same time.

Autonomous Driving Features
Tesla offers its Full Self-Driving (FSD) suite in India as an optional package worth Rs 6 lakh. The suite promises hands-free driving and advanced safety features, giving Indian EV buyers access to one of the world's most advanced autonomous driving technologies.
