The price of all ICE SUVs except Mahindra XUV 7X0 will increase.

Mahindra & Mahindra (M&M) has announced an increase in the prices of its ICE based SUVs and commercial vehicles from April 2026. The company has said a maximum increase of up to 2.5 percent, while the average increase in the entire portfolio will be around 1.6 percent. The new prices will be applicable from 6 April 2026. This decision has been taken due to increase in production cost.

Rising prices of raw materials, commodity and other input expenses have forced the company to transfer some part to customers. Mahindra is India's leading SUV manufacturer and this increase will affect popular models like Thar, Scorpio, XUV 7XO. However, this increase will not affect electric vehicles.

Mahindra XUV 7XO will not be expensive

The special thing is that the recently launched new Mahindra XUV7XO has been given relief from this price hike. The company has said that the first 40,000 bookings will be delivered at the old prices only. These bookings will get the benefit of price protection, that is, initial customers will be able to get the car at the old rate only. Only after that the prices of XUV7XO will be increased.

The current price of XUV7XO starts from Rs 13.66 lakh to Rs 25.07 lakh (ex-showroom). This model is getting good response in the market and the company is taking these steps to honor pre-bookings. This will maintain trust among old customers. Price hike in April is common in the auto industry. Apart from Mahindra, many other companies are also doing this due to cost pressure. However, Mahindra has clarified that the increase is limited and will be only 1.6% on average, which will not put much burden on the customers.

Why did this happen

This increase will help the company maintain its margins, especially when raw material prices are rising and the rupee is weak against the dollar. Mahindra has a strong focus on the SUV segment and this move will support its future growth plans. Customers are advised that if they are thinking of buying a new Mahindra SUV, then contact the dealership before April 6. The old price benefit is still available to interested buyers of the XUV7XO, provided they join the first 40,000 slots.

Mahindra's magic from road to farm! Sale of tractors increased along with vehicles

Mahindra's magic from road to farm! Sale of tractors increased along with vehicles

Mahindra & Mahindra has achieved excellent sales performance across its various segments in January 2026. The company has seen growth in automotive, commercial vehicles (CVs) and tractors sales. Mahindra, known for its SUVs, reflects its strong position in the Indian market and the success of its new products.

In the automotive segment, Mahindra sold a total of 1,04,309 vehicles, which includes exports. This is an annual growth (YoY) of 24% compared to the same period last year. In January last year, the company had sold about 85,432 units. Sales of utility vehicles (mainly SUVs and passenger vehicles) in the domestic market stood at 63,510 units, which is 25% more than 50,659 units in January 2025.

Shine on the power of SUVs!

This growth has mainly come from the company's popular SUV models like Thar Roxx, XUV 3XO, XUV700, and the recently launched XUV 7XO and electric XEV 9S. These new models have achieved record bookings, with the XEV 9S and 7XO registering a combined 93,689 bookings, strengthening the company's leadership in the SUV segment. Mahindra's SUV strategy has attracted customers, which includes differentiated features, safety and value-for-money offerings.

Increased demand for commercial vehicles

The company also performed brilliantly in the commercial vehicles (CVs) segment. Sales in the domestic CV and 3-wheeler segment reached 37,222 units, registering a growth of 23%. Demand in the LCV (<3.5T) category remained strong as in previous months, especially in logistics and small businesses. This growth is related to economic recovery, infrastructure projects and rural demand.

Agriculture gave a boost

Mahindra showed even more impressive results in the farm equipment segment, i.e. tractors. Domestic sales of Mahindra and Swaraj brand tractors stood at 38,484 units in January 2026, while it was 26,305 units in January 2025. This is a huge increase of more than 46%. This boom in the tractor segment has come due to good monsoon, government schemes, increasing purchasing power of farmers and agricultural mechanization. Mahindra remains India's largest tractor manufacturer and has a strong market share in this segment.

Overall, these January 2026 sales point to Mahindra building on its strong 2025 performance (where the SUV achieved the milestone of 600,000+ units). The company is expecting continued growth in 2026 due to new launches, EV portfolio expansion and plans to increase capacity.

Mahindra came out 'Dhurandhar' in December! Sold record breaking cars, Tata-Hyundai kept watching the show

Mahindra came out 'Dhurandhar' in December! Sold record breaking cars, Tata-Hyundai kept watching the show

New Delhi. Mahindra & Mahindra recorded excellent sales in the domestic market in the last month of 2025. During this period, sales of passenger vehicles stood at 50,946 units, which is 23 percent more than in December 2024. Last year in the same month the company had delivered 41,424 units. However, there has been a slight decline in sales (56,336 units) compared to November 2025. Demand for SUVs like Scorpio range, Thar, XUV700, XUV3XO and Bolero range remained consistent, which also contributed to better supply and favorable taxation. Total sales of passenger vehicles during April to December FY26 stood at 4,76,476 units, whereas in the same period last year this figure was 4,02,360 units, i.e. an increase of 18 percent on an annual basis.

Company in strong position in the segment
It is clear from the continuous demand for SUVs that Mahindra is in a strong position in those segments where buyers' preferences are inclined towards high ground clearance, powerful looks and multiple powertrain options. Mahindra's results in commercial vehicles were mixed. Sales of light commercial vehicles weighing less than two tonnes stood at 2,720 units in December, which is 13 percent more than last year.

4% decline in this segment
However, sales in this category have declined by 4 percent since the beginning of the year. The company performed brilliantly in the LCV segment between two tonnes to three and a half tonnes. Sales of this segment increased by 37 percent to 22,066 units in December, while total sales in FY26 so far increased by 16 percent to 1,85,012 units. Three-wheelers, including electric vehicles, also performed well.

Sales increased by 31%
Mahindra sold 7,538 units last month, which is 31 percent more on an annual basis. In the current financial year, three-wheeler sales have increased by 28 percent to 82,446 units. Talking about the passenger vehicle range, the entry of XEV 9e and BE 6 as well as updated three-door Thar, Bolero and Bolero Neo will increase the total sales in 2025. The domestic company has achieved the second position in terms of sales, after Maruti Suzuki. This time, Mahindra has achieved the runner-up position in annual sales for the first time, leaving behind Tata Motors and Hyundai. Maintaining this momentum, Mahindra is preparing to further expand its SUV range in 2026. XUV 7XO will be launched on January 5. After this, many new and updated models will be introduced in different segments throughout the year.
