Get ready! Mahindra is bringing a cool 7 seater electric car

New Delhi. Mahindra & Mahindra is all set to expand its electric SUV range with the new XEV 7e SUV. This electric SUV is going to be launched in the coming months. This SUV will be launched in the end of 2025 and after that it will be launched in the market early next year. Mahindra XEV 7e is basically a 7-seater variant of the XEV 9e coupe SUV, which will be designed to attract family EV buyers. Recently, a heavily camouflaged test mule of this SUV was caught on camera at a charging station.

What did the spy images reveal?

The prototype seen featured several design elements such as multi-spoke alloy wheels, flash-type door handles, integrated ORVMs with turn indicators, slightly raised wheel arches, a panoramic sunroof and a small rear spoiler. The overall design language is expected to be similar to that of the XEV 9e; However, the XEV 7e will be longer and larger than its sibling.

The upcoming Mahindra XEV 7e will likely borrow the 59kWh and 79kWh LFP battery packs from the XEV 9e. The smaller battery pack has a 286bhp motor and promises a driving range of 542km, while the larger battery pack with 231bhp motor gives a range of 656km. The range figures of the XEV 7e are expected to be similar to the XEV 9e.

Interior and Features
The interior is still a mystery to us. However, the Mahindra XEV 7e is likely to have a similar cabin layout to the XEV 9e, with the addition of third row seats.

Features
In terms of features, this new Mahindra EV gets a triple screen setup, captain's chair for the second row, two-spoke steering wheel with an illuminated logo, dual zone climate control system, auto dimming IRVM, augmented reality HUD, front ventilated seats, auto lane charge and lane keep assist for each row of seats. There could be many great features like wireless smartphone charger, 360-degree cameras with live recording, adaptive cruise control, level-2 ADAS (Autonomous Driving Assistance System), front and rear cross traffic alert.
