Mahindra XUV 7XO is all set to be launched in the country today. However, just ahead of the launch, the SUV has surfaced on the internet without any camouflage. The SUV is essentially a refreshed version of the XUV700, and the latest video provides the clearest look yet at its updates.

In the recent YouTube video, the soon to be launched SUV is seen in midnight black shade. The biggest change is at the front, where Mahindra has given the SUV a sharper and premium look.

Mahindra XUV 7XO leaked: Exterior changes

The XUV 7XO gets new LED headlamps with redesigned DRLs, animated indicators and updated interior elements. The grille is larger and now uses eight vertical slats with the Twin Peaks logo in the center. A revised bumper includes sleeker fog lamps, a silver skid plate and a new air dam.

Mahindra XUV 7XO leaked: Cabin

Inside, the XUV 7XO adopts the same layout as Mahindra's XEV 9S but with a clear focus on luxury. The cabin uses a brown-beige color scheme rather than muted tones, paired with soft-touch materials and premium details. Tan brown accents extend to the steering wheel, while the seats appear plusher and more supportive than before.

Mahindra XUV 7XO leaked: Features

Mahindra has confirmed that the XUV 7XO will be equipped with three 12.3-inch screens, which will act as the digital instrument cluster, central infotainment system and front passenger display. A 16-speaker Harman Kardon sound system with Dolby Atmos and BYOD mount will also be offered.

The feature list includes wireless charging, dual-zone climate control, ventilated seats, a second-row slide and recline, a panoramic sunroof, powered front seats with memory and ambient lighting. Safety and driver assistance highlights include a 540-degree camera, connected car technology and Level 2+ ADAS.

Mahindra XUV 7XO leaked: Powertrain

Powertrain options are expected to remain unchanged. The XUV 7XO will continue with 2.0-litre turbo-petrol and 2.2-litre diesel engines, paired with manual and automatic transmissions. The all-wheel-drive option available on the top-spec XUV700 is also likely to be carried forward.

New Delhi. Before the arrival of Mahindra XUV 7XO (XUV700 facelift) in the domestic SUV market, another teaser has been released. Its official launch will be on 5 January 2026. Many special features of the SUV have been revealed in the new teaser which are quite amazing in themselves. These include in-car theater mode with 540-degree camera and BYOD support for rear seat passengers. You usually find these features in very high end cars.

Feature Highlights
The 540-degree camera is an advanced surround-view system that provides a complete view around and below the vehicle. It has multiple cameras installed on the front, rear and side mirrors, whose feed is combined together through software to create a single surround view. The SUV will also get a new ADAS (Autonomous Driving Assistance System) visualization, which shows real-time graphical representation of active driver assistance systems.

In-Car Theater Mode
In-car theater mode is also a special feature, which has been confirmed in the new teaser. It has BYOD (Bring Your Own Device) functionality, allowing users to connect their smartphone or device to the car's infotainment system. It runs on Mahindra's Adrenox+ software. Apart from this, Mahindra XUV 7XO will get triple screen, new two-spoke steering wheel (with black and tan finish), wireless phone charger, 16-speaker Harman Kardon sound system, multiple airbags and many advanced features.

Styling Improvements Previous teasers have revealed that the Mahindra XUV 7XO borrows many design elements from the XEV 9S, like dual-pod LED projector headlamps, LED taillamps with pixel-style elements and new alloy wheels.

Mechanically, there will be no changes in the new Mahindra XUV7XO (XUV700 facelift). It will have 2.0L turbo petrol and 2.2L diesel engines, which will generate 200PS power and 380Nm torque and 185PS power and up to 450Nm torque respectively. Both engines will be available with 6-speed manual and automatic gearbox options.

Booking, launch and competition
The updated XUV700 or XUV7XO will be introduced on January 5, 2026 and will be launched in the market soon after. Prices of the base variants are likely to remain the same as the current model, while the top variants may see a slight increase. Mahindra XUV7XO will compete with Tata Safari, MG Hector Plus and Hyundai Alcazar.

Currently, the price of XUV700 ranges between Rs 14.13 lakh to Rs 23.71 lakh, while the price of the new XUV7XO may see a slight increase.

price expectations
The price of the entry-level petrol variant may remain around the current MX petrol variant. At the same time, the price of the top-end AX7L 7-seater diesel-automatic AWD variant may be slightly higher than the current model (Rs 23.57 lakh). AX7L Ebony Edition with this powertrain is available for Rs 23.71 lakh. The ex-showroom price of the fully feature-equipped Mahindra XUV7XO variant can be around Rs 25 lakh.

Triple screen, updated ADAS and more
Interestingly, Mahindra XUV 7XO will be the company's first SUV to get a triple screen setup, which includes a central infotainment system, a fully digital instrument cluster and a separate display for the passenger. Apart from this, it will get premium Harman Kardon audio system, auto dimming IRVM, BYOD feature for rear seat entertainment, panoramic sunroof, electric boss mode, customizable ambient lighting, updated level-2 ADAS suite and many other features.

Pre-booking of this SUV will start from December 15, 2025, for which a token amount of Rs 21,000 has been kept. Mahindra XUV 7XO is actually a facelifted XUV700, in which major changes have been made in design and features.

New color options and designs
In the new teaser, the SUV is shown in a new red color, which shows a changed grille, blacked out ORVMs and LED projector headlamps with twin-pod design. New bumpers, new LED DRL signature and connected full-width light bar can also be seen in it. There has been no change in the sheet metal of the bonnet, fenders and doors.

A triple screen setup like the XEV 9e can be found in the interior of Mahindra XUV 7XO. It will include a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system, 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster and a secondary passenger display. Features may include ventilated front and rear seats, panoramic sunroof, multi-color ambient lighting, sliding second row seats, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity, wireless charger, etc.

Safety Features
Level 2 ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance System) can be upgraded and will get more safety features. It will also get 7 airbags, electronic parking brake with auto hold, electronic stability control and hill hold assist.

engine options
Mechanically, there are no changes in the XUV700 facelift. The new Mahindra XUV 7XO will be available with the existing 2.0 liter turbo petrol and 2.2 liter turbo diesel engines. The petrol engine comes with 6-speed manual and automatic gearbox, which gives power of 200PS and torque of 380Nm. The diesel engine generates power up to 185PS and torque of 450Nm. It will also have the option of 6-speed manual or 6-speed automatic gearbox. FWD (front-wheel drive) system will remain standard, while AWD (all-wheel drive) will be available only in diesel variants.

Major changes can be seen in styling and features in 2025 Mahindra XUV7XO, while the engine setup will remain the same. Mahindra has launched many of its popular cars with changed names in the past. The company is adopting the same strategy with the XUV700 facelift.

The front look of this SUV seems to be inspired by the XEV 9e, which has a new grille, twin-pod design headlights, changed bumper and new LED DRL signature. Newly designed, aero-optimized alloy wheels can also be found in the SUV, although there will not be much change in the side profile. The petrol engine produces 200bhp power and 380Nm torque, while the diesel engine generates 155bhp/360Nm and 185bhp/450Nm power and torque. At present, Mahindra has many cars in its portfolio and the XUV 700 SUV is counted among the most successful cars of the company.

Mahindra XEV 9S, which is the electric variant of the XUV700, will debut on November 27. At the same time, the new Mahindra XUV700 facelift will be available for sale in early 2026. When will delivery start
The delivery of BE 6 Batman Edition will start from September 20, which is also known as International Batman Day.
