2025 Mahindra Thar has been launched in India with Rs 9.99 lakh, including new features, tango red and battleship gray shades, large infotainment displays and the same engine options.

New Delhi. 2025 Mahindra Thar has been launched in India, which starts at Rs 9.99 lakh (ex-showroom). Since its return in 2020, Thar remains a style and off-road icon. The new update includes feature enhancement and minor styling changes, while engines and mechanicals are kept the same.

What are the external updates of the new Thar?

At first glance, it is difficult to identify changes. Thar continues with its signature boxy shape and three-to-door layout, Mahindra has kept the visual updates minimal. A visible change is that the front grille is now body-colored, although its shape and size are the same. The back is now integrated into a parking camera spare wheel hub, and a washer with a rear wiper is also added, which were not earlier.

New paint shades
Mahindra has also added Tango Red and Battleship Gray as new paint shades. The rest of the exterior includes existing elements such as halogen headlamps, fog lamps and 18-inch alloy wheels. A silver insert on the bumper, which was removed a few years ago, is now back.

More clear changes can be seen in the cabin. The power window switch has been swapped with traditional door pads, which has made access more comfortable. New Delhi. Mahindra & Mahindra is preparing to launch updated Thar 3-door and Bolero Neo in the coming months. However, the official launch date of both models has not been announced yet. Recently, 2025 Mahindra Thar facelift was captured on camera with minimal Camoplas, which gave interesting information about its design and interior upgrade. The special thing is that most of these updates are inspired by Thar Rocks.

Better styling
A slightly better styling in the exterior, the new Mahindra Thar 2025 will have a new grill and headlamps and tales in the new C-shaped LED LED signatures with double-tacked slots. The SUV will have newly designed alloy wheels (possibly limited to high trims), while there will be no change in the size of the tire.

Same engine

Gearbox options will continue in the new 2025 Mahindra Thar facelift, existing 152bhp, 2.0 turbo petrol, 119bhp, 1.5L turbo diesel and 132bhp, 2.2L Turbo Diesel Engine Options will continue. Transmissions will also be taken from the existing model, including 6-speed manual (standard) and 6-speed torque converter automatic (with only 2.2L diesel variants).

price
According to GST reports, the price of current 3-door Thar has been cut by Rs 1.35 lakh and currently it is priced between Rs 10.31 lakh to Rs 16.60 lakh. With more premium features and styling upgrade, the price of 2025 Thar facelift is expected to increase slightly.

In the video, there is a wrapping on the new 3-door Thar front grille that points to some updates in this part. Originally, the Thar 3-Dore facelift will come with an updated grille that will have vertical slats, which are similar in its 5-door cybuling Thar Rocks.

How is the look?
At the back, it has a rear wiper and washer. We also see five alloy wheels that include mounted spare wheels on the tailgate, which was converted into a steel unit some time ago. Apart from this, there was no visible change in the latest image.
