Engine and Gearbox
No change is expected in Brezza in this matter. The 2026 Maruti Brezza may have a 1.5L naturally aspirated petrol engine, which produces 103bhp power and 137Nm torque. Transmission options also remain unchanged – i.e. 5-speed manual and 6-speed torque converter automatic.
Vitara Brezza 2016
Maruti Brezza was first introduced as the Vitara Brezza in 2016, and became an instant hit due to its SUV-design, great powertrains and aggressive pricing. The subcompact SUV got a major facelift in 2020, followed by a generational upgrade in 2022, when it dropped the “Vitara” prefix. The second-gen model brought significantly improved styling, several new features and a new 1.5L K15C DualJet petrol engine with mild hybrid technology.
