New Delhi. India's largest carmaker Maruti Suzuki is now setting new records in terms of safety. Another Maruti company has received a 5-star rating. The company's premium 3-and hybrid UV Maruti Suzuki Invicto has achieved a 5-star safety rating in the crash test of India New Car Assessment Program (Bharat NCAP). That is, it can now be said that Maruti is ready to compete in the case of safety to brands like Tata and Mahindra. Because, this has become Maruti's third consecutive car which has received 5 star safety ratings.

This is Maruti's third car which has received this prestigious rating from India NCAP. Earlier, All-New Desire and absolutely new SUV Victoris have also achieved 5-star ratings. This achievement is a major milestone for Maruti Suzuki, which was traditionally known for mileage and strength, but now safety is also making its top priority.

New Delhi. Maruti Suzuki is upgrading its entire lineup with 6 airbags, which will be applicable from 1 October 2025 as per the government's order. Most models of the Arena range are already equipped with 6 airbags as standard, and now the company has started upgrading the Nexa lineup with it.

Baleno-artiga update
The Indo-Japanese car manufacturer has now upgraded Ertiga and Baleno with 6 airbags throughout the lineup. Maruti gave this information through a release shared in the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE). This has made the S-Presso the only Maruti model in the Arena range that has not yet been equipped with standard 6 airbags. On the other hand, the Grand Vitara and Invisto are already available with 6 airbags in the Nexa lineup.

Increased price

With the latest update, the prices of Ertiga and Baleno have seen a slight growth of 1.4% and 0.5% respectively. The price of Ertiga is now between Rs 8.96 lakh to Rs 13.25 lakh, while the price of Baleno is between Rs 6.74 lakh to Rs 9.92 lakh (ex-showroom) for the top-end variants. Apart from adding more airbags, there has been no other changes in the Baleno. Other Standard Safety features include EBD with ABS, 360-degree camera, electronic stability control (ESC), rear parking sensor and ISOFIX child seat anchor.

1.2-liter natural aspirated petrol engine
The Baleno is powered by a 1.2-liter naturally aspirated petrol engine that generates 89 bhp and 113 Nm peak torque. This engine is available with 5-speed manual or 5-speed AMT. In the CNG variant, this engine generates 76.5 bhp and torque of 98.5 Nm. Similarly, no other changes have been made other than adding 6 airbags to Ertiga. Other standard features include electronic stability control (Esc), hill-hold assist and sensors with rear parking camera.
