Maruti Suzuki Fronx Hybrid will soon enter the Indian market. It will be presented only as an updated version of the existing Fronts. The new Front Hybrid has also been spotted testing on Indian roads. It is expected that it will be introduced in the second half of the year 2026.

The design of Maruti Suzuki Fronx Strong Hybrid will be very similar to the existing Fronx, as it will come with a facelift or minor updates. This is a coupe-style sub-compact SUV. The design of the grill, LED headlights and sharp DRLs at the front will be attractive. Some spy images have shown radar sensors for ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance System), which may be included in the facelift. Connected LED taillights, roof spoiler and dual-tone color options will be available in the rear.

The premium feel of Fronx will remain intact. The cabin is spacious, with good headroom and leg room. There will be a 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system, Android Auto and Apple CarPlay support on the dashboard. In the hybrid version, the battery pack can be fitted under the front passenger seat, which will not affect the boot space and cabin layout much. Material quality will be good, soft-touch surfaces, leatherette seats and multi-color ambient lighting can be found. There will be AC vents and USB charging ports on the rear seats.
Features and safety
Fronx Strong Hybrid will be packed with latest features. Features like 360-degree camera, wireless charging, head-up display (in the top variant), cruise control, push-button start, automatic climate control and Arkamys sound system will be available. The infotainment will have connected car technology (Suzuki Connect) and it is likely to get level-2 ADAS.
For safety, Frontx can have 6 airbags as standard. Features like ABS, EBD, ESP, hill hold control and ISOFIX child seat mounting will be available. The hybrid version is expected to have better safety scores with ADAS. Although some of the global versions of the current Fronx have received a 1-star rating, the Indian version could potentially improve.
Engine and Mileage
Fronx Strong Hybrid will have Maruti's new in-house series hybrid system. It will have a 1.2-litre Z12E three-cylinder petrol engine (Z-series), which will mainly work as a generator. This will charge the battery (1.5-2 kWh) and the electric motor will drive the wheels. Claimed mileage is expected to be 35-37.5 kmpl.
