2026 MG Hector Facelift Launched In India: New 2026 MG Hector launched in India, available in five variants and two new colors. It has a 14-inch touchscreen, iSwipe technology and 1.5 liter petrol engine.

New Delhi. The new MG Hector 2026 facelift has finally been launched in India. The updated SUV lineup comes in five variants – Style, Select Pro, Smart Pro, Sharp Pro and Savvy Pro – with prices starting from Rs 11.99 lakh to Rs 18.99 lakh. The new 2026 MG Hector Plus 7-seater version is available in three variants – Sharp Pro MT, Sharp Pro CVT and Savvy Pro CVT – priced at Rs 17.29 lakh, Rs 18.59 lakh and Rs 19.49 lakh respectively. All prices are ex-showroom.

Design changes in the new 2026 MG Hector
Minor cosmetic changes have been made in this SUV. Its front has a newly designed grill which has a diamond shape pattern, updated air dam and slightly changed bumper. The updated Hector has newly designed 18-inch alloy wheels, new rear bumper and connected tail lamps at both the rear ends. The SUV is now available in five colors, including two new shades – Pearl White and Celadon Blue.

Features of the new 2026 MG Hector
MG offers two interior themes – dual-tone Ice Gray with the 5-seater version and dual-tone Urban Tan with the 6 and 7-seater variants. The new MG Hector facelift gets the segment's largest 14-inch portrait-style touchscreen infotainment system with iSwipe touch gesture control technology, allowing users to control features like AC, music and navigation by swiping with two or three fingers.

New Delhi. JSW MG Motor India is preparing to launch the updated Hector and Hector Plus on 15 December 2025. Before the official launch, the company has released a teaser, which shows the car's silhouette, signature MG logo and illuminated headlamps and fog lamps. Although complete details will be revealed in a few days, it is expected that these SUVs will get mild design changes and feature upgrades. Mechanical changes are not likely. What did you see in the teaser?
It is clear from the teaser that the 2026 MG Hector will get a newly designed front grille, which will have chrome finish with vertical motifs. A new bumper, new skid plate and new design dual-tone alloy wheels can also be seen in the SUV. At the same time, there will be no change in headlamps, LED DRLs, fog lamp assembly and LED tail lamps. Talking about size, the updated Hector will remain the same as the existing model, whose length is 4,699 mm, width 1,835 mm and height 1,760 mm.

Will you get more features?
Interior information has not been revealed yet. However, the 15.6-inch touchscreen infotainment system can be taken from the Windsor EV in the new 2026 MG Hector facelift. Most of the remaining features will remain the same as the current model, which includes eight-speaker audio system, six-way electrically adjustable driver seat, key-less entry, panoramic sunroof, four-way electrically adjustable co-driver seat, mood lighting in eight colors, 360 degree view camera, six airbags and other features.

There will be no change in the engine. The same 1.5 liter turbo petrol and 2.0 liter diesel engine options will be available in the new MG Hector 2026 facelift. The petrol engine gives 143PS power and 250Nm torque, while the diesel engine gives 170PS power and 350Nm torque. Transmission options will include 6-speed manual (standard) and CVT automatic gearbox with petrol engine. Let us tell you that Hector was the company's first car in India. It was launched by MG in India in the year 2019. After its launch, it got a good response from the buyers in India and within no time it became a well-known popular SUV model in India.

MG Motor India on Monday announced the launch of new variants for its Hector SUV. Christened Shine Pro and Select Pro, the new variants come with enhancing options for the Hector buyers. The MG Hector remains the brand’s most popular SUV so far since its arrival in India as the brand’s introductory model in June 2019. The newly launched Shine Pro variant is priced at 15,99,800 (ex-showroom) and the Select Pro is priced at 17,29,800 (ex-showroom).

The SAIC-owned British car marque has stated that the new variants of the car come with India’s largest portrait-oriented HD touchscreen infotainment system, measuring 14 inches. The Select Pro variant gets a dual-pane panoramic sunroof and the Shine Pro comes with a single-pane electric sunroof. Both variants come with a new dashboard design and a host of features including wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity. Other features include a wireless charger, and a fully digital instrument cluster with a 17.78 cm embedded LCD display, a push start/stop button, floating light turn indicators, LED headlamps, and LED-connected taillights among others.

Using insights from our market research, industry analysis, and customer feedback, we have introduced these two latest variants, underscoring our commitment to providing an elevated driving experience, characterized by performance and power, catering to the discerning preferences of SUV enthusiasts,” he added.

Mg Hector is available in both petrol and diesel engine options. The engine choices for the SUV include a 1.5-litre turbocharged petrol motor available with both manual and CVT gearbox options and a 2.0-litre turbocharged diesel unit available with a manual gearbox.
