New Delhi. Mini India has launched its new open-top car Cooper S Convertible in the Indian market. Its starting price has been kept at Rs 58.50 lakh (ex-showroom). Booking of this model started last month and its delivery is also expected to start soon. This is the third launch of the brand in the country, before which JCW All4 and Countryman SE All4 have been introduced. This convertible has a 2.0-liter 4-cylinder turbo-petrol engine, which generates 204 horsepower and 300 Nm torque. It has a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission, which supplies power to the front wheels. There is no manual transmission option in this.
0 to 100 km in 6.9 seconds
On the basis of power, this car accelerates from 0 to 100 km per hour in just 6.9 seconds. Its top speed is limited to 237 km per hour. Mini claims that this convertible gives a mileage of 16.82 km per liter. Round LED headlights have been provided in the front of the car, which are also accompanied by daytime running lights. The octagonal grille, blanked-off center trim, blacked-out horizontal elements, prominent 'S' badging and large air intakes add to its sporty look.
Electrically Operated Roof
This convertible retains the same recognizable design as the hardtop variant, but has an electrically operated roof, which can be opened or closed in 18 seconds, that too at speeds of up to 30 kmph. The side profile has been given a stylish and rugged look with 17-inch dual-tone alloy wheels and strong black cladding.

Talking about the interior, the Mini Cooper Convertible gets dual-tone minimalist interior, round design theme, pill-shaped air vents and a customizable dashboard made of sustainable materials. Black and beige color scheme is given on the dashboard. It has a 9.4-inch Android-based OLED touchscreen, which works as both infotainment system and instrument cluster. Head-up display is also available with it. Talking about the features, it has features like powered seats, Harman Kardon audio system, climate control, rearview camera, wireless charging, ambient lighting and cruise control.
