New Delhi. Maruti Suzuki has launched the new Dezire sedan. The company has launched it at a starting price of Rs 6.70 lakh (ex-showroom). The price of its top model goes up to Rs 10.14 lakh (ex-showroom). The company has introduced it in four variants, which include LXI, VXI, ZXI and ZXI Plus.

The new Maruti Dezire is now coming in 7 new attractive colors. At the same time, this car is being discussed a lot after getting 5-star rating in the Global NCAP crash test. Let us know about the complete features and specifications of this car.

Equipped with a powerful 3 cylinder engine
The fourth generation Dezire has a new 1.2-litre Z-series petrol engine, which generates 80bhp power and 112Nm torque. This is a 3 cylinder engine which is also being used in the new generation Swift. It has the option of 5-speed manual and AMT gearbox. Apart from this, the company has also introduced CNG variant, which gives power of 68bhp and torque of 102Nm.

Big change in design
The exterior design has been updated in the new Dezire. It has been given a new grille with horizontal slats, along with features like LED headlights, new front and rear bumpers, dual-tone alloy wheels, triangular inserts in the LED taillights and shark-fin antenna.

New features in the cabin too
Many new features have also been added to the cabin of 2024 Dezire. Electric sunroof has been made available for the first time in this segment. Apart from this, features like new dual-tone interior theme, 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system, flat-bottom steering wheel, 360-degree camera, cruise control, rear AC vents and automatic climate control are also included.

5-star safety rating
The new Maruti Dezire is the first car from the company to get a 5-star safety rating in the Global NCAP crash test. This car has achieved 5-star rating in adult protection and 4-star rating in child protection. This is the first car from Maruti to get 5-star rating in Global NCAP. This model claims good safety for the driver and passengers, while the side impact test also showed good results.

Mileage of 33.73 kilometers
Talking about mileage, its petrol engine model gets a mileage of 24.79 km/l in manual gearbox (MT) variants and 25.71 km/l in automatic gearbox (AT) variants. If we talk about CNG version, then in CNG it has been launched only with manual transmission. According to the company, this car will offer a mileage of 33.73 kilometers in one kg of CNG.
