The brand has introduced ADAS safety technology in Nexon.ev 45. Along with this, Tata claims that this will further increase its premium appeal. The company has also added features like rear window sunshade and ambient lighting, which will provide more value to the customers. Additionally, Tata.ev has also introduced the Nexon.ev Dark variant, further adding to the style and exclusivity of the portfolio.

New Delhi. Tata Motors is preparing to update the Nexon EV lineup with Level 2 ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems). This upgrade will further strengthen the position of Nexon EV as the most feature-rich and advanced EV in its segment.

Empowered+ A45 Top variant
Nexon EV Empowered+ A45 will be the top variant. The new Empowered+ A45 variant will be at the top of the Nexon EV range. It is already based on loaded Empowered 45 and Empowered Plus 45 trims, currently sold between Rs 15.99 lakh to Rs 17.19 lakh (ex-showroom). The connecting of ADAS Level 2 is expected to increase a slight increase in the price of these models.

The company launched it in the year 2020 in the Indian market. After this, its mid cycle facelift model was launched by the company in September 2023. Now the company is going to bring this car generation upgrade model.

According to a report by Team BHP, the company is going to bring Nexon EV's Next Jane model this year. The report states that Nexon EV of the new generation can debut around Diwali later this year. New features and new battery packs will be used in the new Nexon EV.

Based on new platform
However, the biggest update will change the underpinnings. Currently, the Ice engine is based on the powered Nexon and electric models similar platforms. The new Nexon EV will be based on Electric Skateboard Architecture. It is also expected to be equipped with big battery packs. Current Zen Nexon EV has been introduced with three battery options: 30 kWh, 40 kwh and 45 kwh.

Will get 2 battery options
In its upcoming avatar, the new Nexon EV will get two options: 45 kWh and 55 kwh. Both these battery packs are given in Tata Curve. Nexon's 45 kwh battery offers a range of 489 km once charged, while the big 55 kwh unit Curve claims a 585 km single-charge range on EV.

Existing model range
Currently, Tata Motors is present in the market based on two variants range of Nexon EV. Medium Range (MR) and Long Range (LR). The first one provides a 30 kwh battery pack that power the front axle mounted electric motor and produces 127 bhp power and 215Nm torque. Both battery packs provide a front-wheel drive motor that produces 141 bhp and 215 Nm peak torque. Nexon EV has been the leader of its segment since the launch and is still the first choice of customers.
