Nissan Magnite facelift will be launched on October 4.The facelift car will be equipped with new design and more than 55 safety features.The price can be between 6.30 lakh to 12 lakh.
New Delhi. Nissan Motor India is going to introduce the new facelift model of its popular compact SUV, Magnite in the Indian market on October 4. Before this, the company has started booking this vehicle from September 30, although the information about the booking amount has not been shared yet.
The new Magnite facelift will be offered with an attractive design and more than 20 segment-first features, while it will have more than 55 safety-related features. Recently, the company has released several teasers on the social media platform X, which have revealed some of the first glimpses of the car.
Exterior design will be updated
Talking about the changes made in the design, the facelift version will see a hexagonal patterned grille with new dual-tone machine-cut alloy wheels. 6-spoke alloy wheels will give this vehicle a more stylish look. It is expected to get 16-inch alloy wheels which are also given in the current model.
Apart from this, new tail lights will also be seen, whose design may be similar to the existing model, but LED halogen lights will be used in it. A teaser about the interior has revealed that most of the features inside will be inspired by the old model.
The exterior of the facelift model will include a new front grille and L-shaped LED DRL lights. The vehicle was also spotted in the Bharat NCAP test, which confirms the updates in its design. Besides, new headlights and new design of bumper will also be seen.
The price of Magnite facelift may be slightly higher than the current model. Currently its price ranges between Rs 6.30 lakh to Rs 11.27 lakh (ex-showroom). Its direct competition will be with vehicles like Renault Kiger, Maruti Franks, Tata Punch, Hyundai Venue, Maruti Brezza, Kia Sonet and Mahindra XUV300.
Special features will be available in the interior also
The interior can be provided with a large touchscreen infotainment system, electric sunroof, front ventilated seats and upgraded seat upholstery. Apart from this, 7-inch digital driver display, ambient lighting and wireless phone charger are also likely to be included. In terms of safety, 6 airbags, 360-degree camera, tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS) and child ISOFIX seat anchors will also be available.
Engine will not get updates
Talking about performance, only the existing engine options will be available in it. It will come with the existing 1.0-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine which generates 71hp power and 96Nm torque. In the current engine setup, this car offers an ARAI-certified mileage of 19.70 kmpl in the automatic transmission variant and 19.35 kmpl in the manual transmission.
Along with this, a 1.0-litre turbo-petrol engine will also be available, which will generate 99hp power and 160Nm torque. Both engines will be offered with the option of 5-speed manual and 5-speed automatic transmission.
Features like anti-stall, quick-down and creep function will be standard in all variants, which allow driving at slow speeds without accelerating. Hill Start Assist and Vehicle Dynamic Control will also be available as standard across all variants.
