New Delhi. Nissan Motor India is going to launch its new Gravity compact MPV on January 21, 2026, which will be the company's first product launch in 2026. Along with Gravity, Nissan is working on a strategy to launch three new products in the next one and a half years. After the MPV, the company will introduce a 5-seater C-segment SUV named Tekton on February 4, while a larger 3-row C-SUV will be ready for production in 2027.
All three models will be made in India only
These three models will be manufactured in India only and will also be exported to select foreign markets. The launch of Gravitas is taking place at a time when Nissan has seen a good growth in exports. In December 2025, the company exported 13,470 vehicles, which is the highest in the last ten years.
More than 12 lakh units exported
In 2025, the company's total exports will cross 12 lakh units. The Gravitas is built on the CMF-A architecture, which is also used in the Renault Triber. However, Nissan has given special design elements to give it a distinct identity. Its front has a wide blacked-out grill and thin LED light strip.
These features are also present
Apart from this, integrated headlamps, raised bonnet lines and gravity branding are prominently featured in it. At the rear, it gets connected LED tail lamps, straight tailgate design and integrated roof spoiler. The bumper has been detailed with skid plate elements, giving it a sporty look.
interior
Talking about the interior, the Gravity will have a three-row cabin layout and modular seating arrangement. Although the company has not yet given complete details of the interior, it is expected to have more space and practical features as per daily needs. It will have a 1.0 liter petrol engine, which will be available in both naturally aspirated and turbocharged variants.
gearbox option
Customers will get the option of manual and automatic gearbox. It is being speculated that the price of Gravity will be its biggest feature and its delivery and showroom activity can start from March 2026. To support its growing product portfolio, Nissan is also rapidly expanding its dealer and service network, which aims to reach around 250 outlets by FY 2027.
